I work in DEV, STG & PRD and am trying to determine the best practice. So far my work flow is as follows: Create surveys in default 'My Survey Designs'. Once complete, push to DEV. Once pushed to DEV, copy entire folder contents and place in 'My DEV Surveys" Back in My Survey Designs, delete .itemInfo from each survey, log into STG portal and republish. Once pushed to STG, copy entire folder contents and place in 'My STG Surveys" Back in My Survey Designs, delete .itemInfo from each survey, log into PRD portal and republish. Once pushed to STG, copy entire folder contents and place in 'My PRD Surveys" Depending on which environment I am publishing in, I will bring in the appropriate folder contents. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this workflow? When you delete the .itemInfo, not only do you loose the connection to the portal (good), but you also lose settings (bad) and I have to manually fix those. I have about 50 surveys, and will have hundreds soon. Initially this will be a pain and is a bit clunky. Thanks.

My issue is that the instance_name and the HFS both reference the name and not the label. Because you can't have spaces I can't include someone's name in a instance_name without it appearing ugly (i.e. Joe_Brown). This is the same when I bring in a HFS in arcmap. It does not bring in the coded domain labels, only the names. Arcmap is not as big of a deal. What is the work around, I cant have a user enter his first and last in separate fields. Also, date cant be used in instance_name either. Thanks for all your hard work up to this point! It's greatly appreciated!

I am running the new 1.3.46 AppStudio but it still references Survey123 1.6 in the enterprise options to create a new app. I need functionality in 1.9 and 1.10. How do you get code for the new S123 apps in AppStudio?

I am running 10.4.1. I did enable z values. Not sure where I went wrong but this should be officially supported within a month. Guess I will wait...

I am trying to replicate Callums workflow. If that works I will not need the the longer python workflow. It is my understanding that Callums workflow is not supported officially yet but will be by the end of the year.

I am unable to reproduce this... My survey gets hung at 'Creating form item' while publishing. Did you have to enable z values in the schema via the xls or just in the FS?

Thanks for the hard work, these monthly releases are awesome! Thanks for SAML support and thinking of us enterprise users! Spinner feature is nice! Can't wait for submission_url from existing (non-hosted) FS!

10.4.1 stack. It appears to be a larger problem. I am able to receive Inputs for several services but none of my outputs are working.

Any solutions to this? I have a 'Poll for new feature' set up on a HFS. I see the input successful, but the Service does not process the input and therefore no output (email). Seems like this should be easy... What am I missing?

Dan, We are currently moving over to SAML authentication to use with Survey123. Is there anything specific you did for it work work properly. In our old environment we were using IWA and we were able to connect to our federated portal successfully through the fully qualified domain. Our new environment is set up the same, except for the addition of SAML authentication. Do you have any advice for setting that up? We are unable to connect via S123-Connect or S123 using the fully qualified domain or the web adaptor. Our datastore and federation are both working properly in the new env. with SAML. Thanks. Also, were you able to find documentation on SAML and S123? We were not, only vague mentions that is has been done.

We had a Server and Portal federated. We created a new server machine and a new portal machine, federated and then replicated all the data. So before we had Server1 (first machine) and Portal1 (second machine) Federated; and with datastore1 on a third machine. Now we have Server2 (fourth machine) and Portal 2 (5th machine) Federated (all server data and services copied over. When I try and back up the new datastore(6th machine) pointing to Server2 and Portal2 I get this error: Error encountered: Backup folder '\\[folder location] is not owned by current data store. I have --bound false. Any suggestions. Should I be able to do this?
