Hi all, I have an SDE layer, that I am using in my script, that becomes a Feature layer (to be used later in my script). Of the fields within the feature class, I only need a few, and I have reflected this in the script but it still appears to keep all the fields.
# Create Feature Layer from BLPU point
gp.makeFeatureLayer_management(inputPoint, "point_lyr", "", "","UPRN UPRN VISIBLE; ADDRESS ADDRESS VISIBLE")

How did you decide on those coordinates? Did you use the extent helper? Imk not using the web mercator projection but British National Grid. So just used the extents from ArcMap. But i have figured my problem out, even though I used the extents from my cached scale (1:7500), it wasnt exact. So I used the enhanced bookmark wideget and created the exact same bookmarks, then compared what I did in my config and what the Bookmark widget said, and I was just a tad out, so have used the coordinates from the widgets and all is good now. Hi all, I have set up my bookmarks but when I select one it zooms to the lowest level (1:500) in my cached base map, even though the extents bounding box should be at 1:7500. Has anyone else encountered this or does someone know how to fix this? my code is below

Robert, just a another thing that I have just thought of is, is it possible to do a search between 2 different dates. I have a planning application layer to a date field, and my user wants to select 2 dates and show the features within the 2 dates. I've had a look at the docs. but cant see anything. Cheers Halil

Halil, If you look at the documentation or the SearchWidget.xml that come with the widget you will see several examples of wildcard searches that work. <expression alias="Zoning Name" textsearchlabel="Search Zoning Name [ Example: RES MULTI-FAMILY ]:">upper(ZONING_NAME) LIKE upper('%[value]%')</expression> If for some reason you are publishing shapefiles (not a very good idea) than your wildcard would be * and not %. Hi Robert, Is it possible to use a a wildcard on a text search, in the out of the box the '%' is used, but cant seem to get it working on your widget. Any ideas? Halil

HI, I've just started playing around with the ArcGIS Viewer for Flex, i am slowly going through the Getting Started guide. I have followed the instructions where it says to change the initial extent to Australia, but i want to change it to my area (Southend-on-Sea, UK), how do i find out the correct coordinates?

Hi all, I have a group of users to use AutoCad who view their data via a WMS service. What they want to do is edit the data and then sync it back to SDE. The solution i have come up with is disconnected editing. I want to do the following: Create Web map using ArcGIS Server Manager Create a geoprocessing task that will allow the user to 1. Define the Area 2. Extract the data 3. User edits the data 4. User Syncs data back. Can this be done? Cheers Halil
