HI,

I've just started playing around with the ArcGIS Viewer for Flex, i am slowly going through the Getting Started guide. I have followed the instructions where it says to change the initial extent to Australia, but i want to change it to my area (Southend-on-Sea, UK), how do i find out the correct coordinates?

What do we do if not using Web Mercator?  Surely there is a way to easily figure out what the proper coordinates are.  I am working in NAD83 KS State Plane South.

Josh,

If you use the new Application Builder, it will let you set the extent in the spatial reference of the map. You could create a new Viewer using the Application Builder and just copy the coordinates to your existing Viewer's config.

Thanks Dasa.  I actually figured that out already.  I do have one question though, what did people use before the Application Builder to do this?  On a previous map I actually converted to Web Mercator but I really don't like doing that, I prefer to keep everything in State Plane.
