Hi Peter MacKenzie To edit an individual response in the Data tab, a user must have both submitter and viewer privileges and be able to add and update records. Please see this page for more info: Edit existing survey data—Survey123 for ArcGIS | Documentation We're in the process of modifying the Share survey documentation to make this clearer. Hope this helps, Best, Jim

Hi April Thanks for the additional info and great to hear about your experience with Survey123! The editData webhook event currently only includes in the payload the attributes that were updated. You could query the feature via the ArcGIS REST API to retrieve the other attributes using Integromat's HTTP "Make a request" module. You might find some handy info in this blog post: https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2019/06/04/survey123-tricks-of-the-trade-integromat Cheers, Jim

Hi April Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, is the edit being submitted from the web app or the field app? Note that the Data field for the attachment should be mapped to the Data output from the HTTP get a file module. Best, Jim

Hi Yulia Good to hear we identified the cause of the error. Regarding your query about capturing start/end locations, I see this has been discussed in your separate post: https://community.esri.com/message/888133-re-capturing-location-several-times-in-survey123-form Thanks to James Tedrick and Doug Browning for their replies! Hi Yulia Thanks for providing your XLSForm. It appears the publishing error is caused by a duplicate question name - there are two text questions named "truckdetails". If I rename one of these questions so that they're unique, the survey publishes as expected. Please let me know if this works for you. Best, Jim

Hi Bryan Only a question's value is stored in the feature service, not its label. A named note question is essentially a read-only text question designed to display information to the user; it cannot take user input, so the only value it can store is a calculation or a default. You could put the classification in the default column so that its stored in the feature service; or calculate (and store) it in a hidden question using a nested IF statement then reference this field in the note's label. Another option would be to use the pulldata() function with a CSV file of employee names and classifications. User selects the employee name, then the pulldata function looks up the corresponding classification from the CSV and stores it in a text or hidden question. Then optionally display this classification in a note. See more on pulldata here: https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2016/10/27/the-pulldata-function-access-external-data https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/xlsformformulas.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_A3C2F3566F974734B55ECECD31C6CA91 Regarding repeats in a Word document, the feature reports functionality on the Survey123 website supports repeats. Heaps of great info on this here: https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2019/07/23/understanding-survey123-feature-reports https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/browser/analyze-results/featurereporttemplates.htm Cheers, Jim

Hi Bryan & Sun This documentation might be of use, in particular the Notes in the feature service section: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/xlsformnotes.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_B2D6F75A3A5349D39DE269007686A0BC Essentially, if a note has a name, a string field will be created to store the note in the feature service (unless it has a fieldType of null, as Sun points out). Note questions without names do not get stored in the feature service. Best, Jim

Hi Katie Andrews, thanks for the additional information. If possible could you please raise this issue with Esri Support, providing the image file, survey, all relevant app & platform details and steps to reproduce? This will aid our troubleshooting efforts and will also log the issue officially in the system; cases reported by other users can then be added to it, which helps us prioritise issues accordingly. Thanks, Jim

Hi Bob What you're describing should work, as long as the field parameters are being added to the link in the pop-up, not in the URL field. For example, store the app launch URL (arcgis-survey123://?itemID=63f11951f709483cb229c26ba44c1249) in a field called 'SurveyURL'. Then in the pop-up construct a hyperlink to add the other parameters to it, for example: {SurveyURL}&field:permit_area={DPA}&field:town={Township}&field:range={Rang}&field:section={Sect} As an alternative, you could add the same points layer to the web map twice and filter one for the northern area and the other for the southern area. You could then configure separate pop-ups for each layer using your original approach. I hope this helps, please let me know how it goes. Best regards, Jim

Thanks Katie. What is the size and dimensions of your PNG file? Are you able to successfully upload this same file as the thumbnail via the Form item details page in ArcGIS Online, or by going to Edit Survey Info from the survey's menu in the Survey123 website?

Hi Marlene McGraw & Christopher L. Rogers Just following up on this one: the 3.6 release has the syntax change as mentioned in my comment above. So for a select question, the following expression will evaluate the raw value (i.e. the name) for that choice: ${if fruit=="banana"}Banana is selected.${/} The choice's label can be referenced using getValue. For example: ${if (fruit | getValue:"label")=="Banana"}Banana is selected.${/} Best, Jim Zheng Liu

Hi Katie Andrews Thanks for the info. Can you see the thumbnail in the field app? After publishing, if you then download the survey to Connect does the thumbnail appear? And/or does an a new .png file appear in the survey's folder? Thanks, Jim

Hi Albertus Regarding repeats, currently webhooks do not submit repeat information. This is something we're looking into; it would be great if you could submit an enhancement request for this via Esri Support, so that we can add your case to the issue. That aside - it should be possible to add multiple attachments to one email. If you're using the Create CSV module, one way to get the attachment as well as the attributes is to include the attachment URL in the CSV bundle so you can use it in the HTTP (Get a file) module downstream of the aggregation. I say "one way" because there are probably a few different ways to do this! It looks like Integromat are working on a 'Converger' module, which would be useful in this case, i.e. split the scenario into two different routes (one to retrieve the attachment, the other to create the CSV) using a Router module, then merge the routes before passing all the data to an email module. Integromat's Converger documentation has a few workarounds that might be handy in the meantime. Best, Jim

Hi Oussama It is possible to do simple arithmetic in feature reports by putting the expression inside the brackets. Some examples: ${number1 - 15}
${number1 * 6}
${number1 + number2} Hope this helps, Jim Zheng Liu

Thanks Ying Zhang - I am not aware of a way to make the survey open in the Survey123 web application in the same window as the source ArcGIS Online web mapping application, other than to drag-and-drop the link onto the same tab in the browser's title bar. It might be worth asking a question on the Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS Community to see if there are any ideas. Best regards, Jim
