@HannesZiegler  and others I have tested this technique with AddError(). It works great with AddMessage() but when applied to a message in AddError() it does not take on the red colour for the text to highlight the issue was an error. Feels like its 80% there! According to google: It is not possible to use an ArcGIS Arcade expression to automatically open a hyperlink when a user clicks a feature in a web map. Security restrictions in web browsers and ArcGIS Online prevent the automatic execution of a hyperlink without a deliberate click on the link itself by the user. Although this talks about AGOL I would imagine this applies to ArcPro as that's where you typically configure a pop-up. A solution would be to create an add-in with a button that uses the sdk to listen for an onclick event and call the appropriate code for opening a word document. I think your logic is flawed. Looking at your model the Get field Value tools input is "Line Features", which I assume is a polyline Feature Class. "Identifier field" looks to be some variable you have put in your model that links to four other tools. If you look at the help file syntax table for Get field value it takes a FIELD object. I suspect your  "Identifier field" parameter is simply a text input? So the logic you are showing make little sense. I think you need to revisit your model and work up alternate logic. ... View more

@ShitijMehta nothing to be sorry about I'm just pleased to see that you are working on a fix! I should say that I don't think this issue is specific to the export tool, I had the same issues with the Make Feature Layer tool, which makes me think its a wider issue for tools that have parameters that are filters or have fieldmaps. I stumbled across this issue which made me then "go to the basics" as shown in the video above not because of using model builder but I was testing my python tools that add additional fields to the schema for an output parameter so they can be used in model builder, that's when I spotted the issue (because it all failed). You can tinker with the labels, so if your first break you want to be 0 to 7.4 then just edit the label to say that even though nothing in your data goes below 7.4. ... View more

You never specified the type of solution you wanted, Ryan gives you an SQL approach, below is a model builder approach using some earthquake data from living atlas. An in-memory copy of the table is created to which I add a text field. I then extract out the date portion in the format of dd/mm/yyyy. To extract just the date portion I use the calculate field script of: justdate(!eventTime!) --------------------- from datetime import datetime def justdate(dt): date_value = datetime.strptime(dt, "%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S") x = date_value.strftime("%d/%m/%Y") return x    I then run the summary Statistics tool as:   The result is a table filter down from 2000+ rows to 49 as shown below: The frequency field gives you an indication of how many time stamps occurred on the day.     ... @JesseWickizer You have earned yourself another beer! Should be a good party at yours tonight. 😀 Tinkering around with the default values produced the desired patch, nice! Nothing wrong with verbose code , it makes it understandable in my opinion and that's a good thing. I have created a simple video of ArcPro blowing up when going into edit mode for a layer with this cartographic effect active. I think it is well worth you getting your developers to watch this as it proper  cripples the PC! Click on it to enlarge. Watch how memory is instantly consumed to the max when you go into edit mode.   This is a file geodatabase feature class containing exactly 1 line which I select and do nothing more than enter edit vertices mode. You don't say how you are using arcpro. I have found the rotate edit tool can blow up arcpro when I'm accessing arcpro via a remote desktop connection. It appears to be specific to that machine and makes me wonder if it is a graphic driver issue. As Jennifer above says, we need way more detail to help. ... View more

I've just tested this on 3.6 and it works fine for me. I had added to a layout a map frame then a legend. Under the properties on the legend I ticked on the only show features in extent option. I activate the map frame drag it to some area with nothing and the legend updates removing the layers. Try upgrading your version of ArcPro? ... View more

I like @BarryNorthey  quick method, but more can be asked about your problem.  For a start the longest straight line within a polygon is often referred to as the fetch. Do a search on that on this forum/GIS SE and you will discover that your question has been asked many times. Now do you want your fetch to have a specific property like it must pass through the polygon centroid? I had asked a similar question 15 years ago on GIS SE, the Q/A is here. Have you searched the ESRI Code sharing site, there is an old ArcMap tool that does the job here you should be able to adapt it for ArcPro? ... How are you running ArcPro through a remote desktop connection or one of those virtual terminals like citrix? Or simply directly from your PC? Have you the latest graphic drivers installed? Without further information it will be difficult to resolve this as I can't tell if it is duff data, duff data source connection , duff pc or some weird connection that you are using? May be edit your question and replace your static image with a short video to show the problem? ... View more

Thanks Jesse, you have earned yourself a 🍺!  I guessed this was a cartographic problem that could be solved with an effect, I was clearly on the right track but barking up the wrong tree! So it was the dash effect I needed to tweak. I would not have known it was a conversion from metres > Inches > Points > Display Scale. So I think your solution will be valuable to others. I should warn other users don't try to edit a geometry whilst this affect is applied, ArcPro blows up, it consumed all the RAM (all 32GB) and brought the PC to a standstill... Another consequence is that the symbol in the contents pane  takes on a dashed appearance. Not unreasonable as that is the symbol one has created and in my case I don't need to show it so was not a problem. But if you need to add the layer symbol to a legend in a layout you'll need to consider this. ... View more
