It would be awesome if you could control the border around individual dashboard features instead of all of them at once.

I like the background image focal point options, but I wish I had the ability to be more precise with it like in story maps. I find that it jumps over the areas that I want it to be in when it's split into quadrants. Hub Story Maps

Hey Rachel, thanks for sticking with me. The feature that I brought in is a simple survey123 form with geolocations, no dashboards or other apps involved. In ArcGIS Hub I just clicked Layout > Chart and selected the survey as the "Data" to display. The survey has a date field and that's the field I selected to make the chart from.

Thanks for the help Rachel. It seems to be recognizing it as a date as you can see on the left side it's showing a little calendar next to the field and allowing me to choose "year, month, day, or hour". I tried it with the "created date" as well and it does the same thing. I'm not sure if it's just because I'm loading it from Survey123. I'll try to load it from a different source and see what happens. This is a completely different feature that I loaded from ArcPro and it seems to be doing the same thing.

I'm trying to make a chart that shows the occurrence of certain events over time, but the chart sorts the dates incorrectly. It's sorting based off of the day digit so since there is a 1 in the number 12 it is going before the 9th. Any thoughts on how to change this? I'm using data that's being brought in from a Survey123 form so I was hoping this would be compatible, but it seems like I'm going to have to change the format of the date in order for it to work properly.

Do your photos have coordinates associated with them or are they just photos with no locational information?

The only place I know where you can see how many people have viewed your story map is if you go to My Content then click on your story map and it should show you the "View Count" to the right of the thumbnail and "Created" date.

I was definitely frustrated with it at first too. After having worked with the older version of story maps for a few years it was a big change, but I will say that after using it now for a couple of months I've come to like it much better. It certainly is still lacking a bit from the original, but it's coming along really quickly and should soon surpass the older version. Many of the issues I originally had with it have been fixed in one way or another, if not necessarily by the same name. I think it looks a lot cleaner and more professional compared to maps I made with the older version too. From what I can see, I think one of the biggest issues is that most people are viewing things on their phones now and the older versions of story maps weren't completely compatible with phones (I had to make multiple versions of the same story map, one for desktop and one for mobile). It seems to me that the new version is limited in many ways because they're trying to make everything easily viewed on a smartphone as well as a computer or tablet. So it may be a tad more limited, at the moment, but it's allowing you to reach people on a wider array of devices now which gives your story more legs. Just one man's opinion, but I think in another year, if not less, most people will prefer the new version.

It sounds like a web app might be a solution to your second question. There might be a template already created for that sort of thing or you could create your own using the webapp builder. I believe this could then be embedded into your story map. As for tracking viewers, I'm not really sure on what you can do aside from adding a Google analytics account.

That is exactly what I did James. Thank you very much. I completely forgot that I had created it in there.
