Does WAB 2.5 (Dev Edition) have any option to export the operational layer result of a GP widget as a shapefile? When clicking the ellipses (...) in the output tab I do not see any option like that. If that is the case, would something like Geoprocessing service example: Clip And Ship—ArcMap | ArcGIS Desktop also work to extract a shapefile out of an operational layer result as well? Thank you!

My web app is linked to a web map that uses 3 time-aware layers with disabled time animation. However, as soon as I click the Time Slider widget, the animation starts running unless I manually pause it. Is this intended behavior? There is nothing in the widget config that enables/disables by default so I would expect to link to my web map layer settings.

In WAB Dev Edition, users are currently allowed to group several GP widgets together. However, the more GP tools are grouped, the more it becomes messy and confusing to navigate (see below). Wouldn't it be great to see WAB Dev Edition enhance the nesting and grouping capabilities of multiple GP widgets/tasks by having an organization similar to what AGOL already has for the Analysis widget (below)? Tools are neatly organized and nested, expanding and collapsing by clicking on the desired task (plus thumbnails tied to each one).

Shaun, I actually had a similar but slightly different experience. In my case, the I had an R SpatialPolygonDataFrame with some NAs in R and when I used arc.write() it converted those values to 0 when saved to a shapefile and opened in ArcGIS. If you want I can send you the R code and data to replicate it...

Thanks Derek. Please see follow up to your answers below. > BUG-000091163 Legend: Web AppBuilder within ArcGIS Online intermittently makes a request to the legend information of a geoprocessing widget's output result. This should be fixed in Web AppBuilder Developer Edition v2.5 as well. I tested it again, and it seems like the GP wdiget config window now has two slots: Name: Output_Raster Type: ... Required: false Name: Geoprocessing/ForestCarbonEdge <------REST end point of GP service Type: MapServiceLayer However, although I have my Output_Raster Label set as "Carbon Map", both the Legend and LayerList widgets still show the name "Output_Raster" (see below) Is this intended behavior or a bug? And why is it hierarchically nested inside the name of the GP service? > BUG-000085257 Improve geoprocessing messages in Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS. We improved some untranslated messages for users to understand what is happening in the widget. For example, instead of saying "esriJobSubmitted - esriJobExecuting", we modified them to be "Job is submitted - Job is executing". And we enabled the messages to be localized. I noticed in my case it says "Submitted" and "Executing". Would you mind clarifying what you mean by "enabled messages to be localized"? localized where? > BUG-000097703 When both "Add result as operational layer" and "Use the drawing options of map service" are checked, etc.. I have both those check boxes selected so the result should be an operational layer. If that is the case, shouldn't the operational layer become available as an input to another GP widget? As of now, the "Output_raster" operational layer only shows "Description" when clicking the "..." next to the output layer.

I am getting an "unknown structure error" when using arc.write from the latest arcgisbindings pkg. I tried to follow the example in the package vignette for arc.write. I am guessing it is not using the correct coords or shape_info like it should...Any idea how should I fix this? Here are my steps: 1) Reading a polygon shp, 2) Extracting its data.frame, 3) Joining it with an existing R data.frame (by a common attribute name) 4) Saving it back to a new shp ... fc <- arc.open(<input_shapefile>) fc.df <- arc.select(fc) fc.df_join <- left_join(fc.df, <existing_dataframe>, by = 'ISO_3_CODE') dim(fc.df_join) [1] 211 11 arc.write(path="./output.shp", data=fc.df_join, coords = arc.shapeinfo(fc)$WKT, shape_info = arc.shapeinfo(fc)) Error in .call_proxy("arc_export2dataset", path, data, coords, shape_info) : unknown structure In addition: Warning message: In .call_proxy("arc_export2dataset", path, data, coords, shape_info) : length of shape != data.frame length

Derek Law Thanks for this recap list, very useful! I have a follow up question since one or two of those bugs were submitted by me I believe. BUGXXXX91163: this bug seems listed for AGOL Web AppBuilder only...was the legend (and layerList widget) issue already addressed in WAB Dev Edition 2.5 as well? BUGXXXX85257: how were the messages of GP widgets improved specifically? Thank you!

I think I found the solution...I am posting it here in case other people have the same question. After downloading your WAB (Dev Edition) customized app, find the /images folder and place a file such as "favicon.ico" in it. Then simply go into the index.html file and in the <head> section find the tag <link rel="shortcut icon" href="images/shortcut.ico">. Replace the name shortcut.ico with your customized icon and you are all set.

I am using WAB Dev Edition 2.4 and have been trying to use some of the ESRI Imagery Service widgets offered on Github (GitHub - Esri/WAB-Image-Services-Widgets: Web AppBuilder widgets for Image Services (WABIS)). Is it now possible to group multiple IS widgets together under a common group widget, like one can do for other standard ones available on WAB? The documentation seems to have not been updated since v2.1-2.2.

Right, so here is how I had "updated" parameters in the configs: "helpUrl": "http://<my_GIS_domain>/arcgis/rest/directories/arcgisoutput/Geoprocessing/DrawSystemsfromTable_GPServer/Geoprocessing_DrawSystemsfromTable/DrawSystemsfromTable.htm" "serverInfo":{ ... "url": "http://<my_GIS_domain>/arcgis/rest/services/Geoprocessing/DrawSystemsfromTable/GPServer/" ... "taskUrl": "http://<my_GIS_domain>/arcgis/rest/services/Geoprocessing/DrawSystemsfromTable/GPServer/Draw Systems from Table" Shouldn't this be correct already?

The task URL is: https://<my_GIS_domain>/arcgis/rest/services/Geoprocessing/DrawSystemsfromTable/GPServer Usually whether I choose "some task" as in "Draw%20Systems%20from%20Table" after /GPServer/... or not it always works when setting up my widget. So as far as the URL pointing and grabbing/validating the GP task, that URL above works if that is what you were making sure...
