Yes, changes to AndroidManifest can be made if you choose to use LocalMake instead of CloudMake. Simply uncheck the Build app for selected targets option to create Project Files. This will give access to AndroidManifest file. I hope this helps. Nakul

Yes, this is a Runtime feature (not AppStudio specific) and by design. If you don't specify layerids it downloads all the features from all the layers which are intersecting with the current Extent (basically a spatial query). Hence tables (with no geometries) won't get downloaded by default. Also there is a reason why the layerid property has been provided. Because sometimes there might be 100 layers but you don't to perform sync on all the layers. Hence no need to download all the data. I hope this helps. Nakul

Hi Paul, If you have an onpremises ArcGIS portal setup using SAML or IWA authentication. It was not possible to login to this portal using Player app on iOS and Android. AppStudio now (with version 1.3 and onwards) supports that on iOS and Android using the new Player app available on the respective stores. This has been possible with the enhancement made to AppFramework.WebView. Previously ( version 1.2), this worked on desktop environment only. I hope this helps. Thanks, Nakul

Can you please share your service and the sample code to test this issue? I wanna make sure you are not initializing the GenerateGeodatabaseParameters after setting the layerids. -Nakul

So that means it is not getting updated. It could be because either you are not logged in or you are not owner. But since you can upload other app. That means only reason left is you are not the owner. If you are not the owner of the app it is going to disappear after 50% and won't complete the update.

Are you the owner of the app you are uploading? Is the update failing? You can try one more thing just to be sure - create a new app from the original one and then upload it. And see if you can upload it. You must have a Standard license to do that. Otherwise it won't work. Please include some screen shots. -Nakul

Hi Kristen, 1) Are your running app inside the Player? If yes - When you make changes to the app locally using QT creator then you need to upload those changes back to arcgisonline organisational account where the app is hosted. After the upload is successful. You can update that app (download/ Update to latest) on your mobile inside the player. Please refer the section upload the app to arcgis and test the app in player. Guided tour—AppStudio for ArcGIS (Desktop Edition) | ArcGIS If no- Then you need to create a new build using cloud make or online and then redeploy on the phone/mobile devices. 2) Why are you using AppStudio Version 1.1.17 ? When the latest version is 1.2 AppStudio for ArcGIS | ArcGIS -Nakul

Hi Luke, You need a standard license for AppStudio to perform edits and build your app for distribution purpose. For offline editing you can refer to our sample "Local geodatabase editing". Also I would recommend you to refer this wiki link for learning QML and Runtime concepts used in AppStudio applications. Home · Esri/arcgis-appstudio-samples Wiki · GitHub I hope this helps. Nakul

Yes, you can start with the sync enabled featureService layer. So basically publish your point feature service on the ArcGIS Server or ArcGIS Online. 1) Add your feature service layer 2) Create features with attribute data and perform edits. 3) At this point you have two options You can look into our sample "Add and edit features" which demonstrates 1 and 2 Option a) Download the feature service locally using GeodatabaseSyncTask. This way you will get a SQL lite geodatabase and you can convert that to file geodatabase using a GP tool in ArcMap. For downloading geodatabase locally using feature service layer you can use our sample "Local geodatabase editing". In this sample the first step is to download the geodatabase locally. Rest of the stuff from the sample you wouldn't need if you are using the above approach. Option b) If you have access to the original dataset with which the feature service was created. You can directly bring that to ArcMap and further analyse. Thanks, Nakul
