If your workflow does indeed call for all features to be deleted, I suggest using truncate instead.

How are you deleting the features? Does everyone of them get deleted? If so, I suggest using truncate. It's always done a good job for me.

I keep C:\temp\scratch.gdb for things like this and purge it every few months or when I remember to. You could always just creat a scratch gdb in your notebook and delete it when you are done Seems like the memory workspace has had problems. I used in_memory in python 2.x but I’ve never used the newer memory workspace.

@ShanaBritt I knew I had mentioned it more than once, but I'm at a loss as to how to search for posts I start.

Thanks @ShanaBritt - new releases are typically around the first of the new year, right? You'll be rid of me by then. I pull the trigger on retirement Dec 24... Happy Christmas to me! 🎅

I have seen this problem in earlier versions of ArcGIS Pro and it continues now in 2.8.2. See https://community.esri.com/t5/addressing-questions/arcgis-pro-address-rematch-problem/m-p/790102#M141 for one of my posts. There have been others, but cannot get the forum search functionality to cooperate. What happens when rematching is when I edit the single line input, it will return me to the first unmatched entry. This seems to happen now only when a selected set is being rematched. Here is a gif of rematching when there is no selected set: This to me is expected behavior; make an edit, get a match, move on the the next unmatched records. In the above gif, you'll notice I <Null> values as Single Line Input. In fact, of the 3,592 unmatched records in this exercise, 3,238 have <Null> addresses. For me rematching is a Zen sort of thing. When I see 3,592 unmatched records I get a lump in my throat. But having only 358 records to rematch is much easier to swallow. With soothing sitar music playing in my cube, along with a cup of herbal tea and some incense burning, I make a selection where: Status = 'U' and Single Line Input is not Null With the target records selected, I settle into rematching, but once I make an edit to Single Line Input, I get bounced back to record #1. Now despite being in my happy place with only 354 records to rematch, I'm in a not so happy place starting back at the beginning of the stack. I cannot imagine this is expected behavior. My not so happy place I only have a few months left before I retire and I wanna stay in my happy place while I'm still working. Can I stay in my happy place? Please? @ShanaBritt @BradNiemand

To start with, beginners questions are always welcome, and your English needs no apologies! Adjacent is a relative term in the context of GIS. It could mean that two cities share a border. Or it could mean that two cities are within a certain distance and are considered adjacent. Either way, take a look at Select By Location this tool allows you to specify how you want to define adjacent.

Ahh. Gotcha. If it were me, I'd contact the software vendor and ask them what you should do. I've used a number of third party software that only use shapefiles and I figured they do that because they are cheap and don't want to pay ESRI the licensing fees. But guess what? It limits the functionality of their products as you've discovered...

You have the three original polygons, correct? You can take the perimeter (length) value of each, and divide them by the perimeter of the large single polygon. That's the ratio / proportion. Multiply by 100 to get actual percentage.

There is now that you mention it. Somewhere. But I've never used it. I don't like using global ids for any sort of join or relate because if their inherent volatility.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but global ids are controlled by the database so they are volatile; if you copy/export a record from one database to another as you have, the new database overwrites the original global ids. Below is a screen capture of the same record in my enterprise (upper) and the exported feature in a fgdb. Note the difference in Global ID values. If you want Global IDs to persist, ad a text field to your gdb, and calculate it's value to equal the global id prior to exporting.

I didn't realize that as I'm the only guy who uses rules; at least for now, and I connect as the db owner. Sounds like that bun needs to go back in the oven for a while. The ESRI address data managment solution provides a master street name table that is actually a domain. If you deploy [any] domains in an enterprise gdb, only the domain owner can change them. I've never used the master street name table for that reason.
