With Esri's Damage Assessment deployable solutions, there's a layer for the "US National Grid." However, the gird isn't visible, and the attribute table is empty. There aren't any limitations in the visibility range nor the display properties that should prevent these grids from displaying. Thus, I'm guessing nothing is displaying because the attribute table is empty. I located a shape file download for the USNG for my area and added it to my damage assessment map [https://usngcenter.org/fema-region-4/]. However, the Esri solution has additional fields that'd be very helpful: Grid size, Status, Percent Complete... if only they were visible. Does anyone know how these grids are populated so they become visible and useable? Thanks, Scott City of Key West

While trying to print a map of the Florida Keys - using the stock basemaps - a lot of ink is wasted printing the surrounding ocean. Is there a way to prevent the open ocean from printing?

Brittany, I'm having the same problem with the same LiDAR files. Which CS did you find ultimately worked? My Key West dataset is locating itself about halfway between Homestead and the Bahamas. 305-809-3810

In Arc Pro, I created a map of ground elevations every 10-ft, and rounded the six-decimal figures to one decimal. Which was fine until I published the map online. In the published version, all six decimals are showing again. When I try to round them in ArcMap online the action keeps receiving a Time-Out effort. I'm guessing this is because of the quantity of attributes it's trying to round, 1.3 million. Is this is indeed the problem, is there a way to adjust the time-out restrictions to allow for this rounding to complete?

Ahh... following up on your suggestion, I discovered - being new to Pro, that I wasn't in Python at all. I was actually in some language called Arcade - which is ironic, given that as a kid you couldn't get me out of an arcade. Once I discovered the "Language" drop-down list and switched to VBScript, using your code, then all was than right with the world... or at least it's elevations anyway. Thanks. Scott

Original LIDAR ground elevation measurements go to about the 20th decimal, but I only need the labels rounded to one decimal point. Using the following label expression, it rounded about 25% of the 2-million labels, but the remaining are still showing all 20 or so decimal places. (see attached image) $feature.NGVD; round(number([$feature.NGVD]), 1) The field name is "NGVD." I'm purplexed as to why it appropirately rounds some but not all the labels. They're all in the same data field.

I'm just now seeing the highlighting you mentioned. Before, I wasn't seeing anything showing the location. However, I just had the latest patch installed and now I'm seeing the highlights. That seems to work... now that I can see them. Thanks

Hmm... so using the "Intersect" match option within the spatial join tool, I could identify just those buildings where the boundary line intersects the building, then use the Calc. Field to assign the appropriate flood zone to those buildings that are selected. That sounds like it would work. Thanks

Using ArcGIS Desktop 10.1 We recently had building footprint polygons mapped for all structures in our community. Now, we'd like to identify which flood zone each building rests within. This is a rather simple spatial join task for those building entirely within a certain flood zone. However, the difficulty we're encountering occurs when a flood zone boundary line transects a building to any degree. The floodplain rule is ... if a flood zone boundary line touches a building to any degree, then that building is considered entirely within the higher regulated flood zone. In the attached example, flood zones AE-6 & AE-7 are on either side of the black flood zone boundary line. Of these two flood zones, the AE-7 flood zone is the higher regulated. Six buildings (shown as selected) are at least partially transected by the flood zone boundary line, and thus should all be identified as resting within the AE-7 flood zone. What's the best way to have buildings straddling any flood zone boundary line to be identified as being in the higher regulated flood zone? Ideally, one task would: Associate the flood zone for buildings wholly contained within any flood zone, and Associate the higher regulated flood zone for any building transected by a flood zone boundary line.

Since then, have you by chance ever had occasion to extract building footprints from the Esri basemaps? I'd like have establish an living inventory of our community's building stock, using the existing building footprints as a starting point.

This was a great help. "FID" / 10 = round( "FID"/10,0) or "FID" = 1 I just adjusted the "10" counts until I got the spread I was seeking, which ended up being "6". Sweet!
