Thanks Jonathan, I want to save some time by just cloning a clean install versus installing all the components 5 times. Indeed the services are the only one left behind. I was able to make all the other cloned pieces to work, but the old services address is being invoked. The reference does not include service migration..only users, groups, contents.

Hi All, Does anyone tried (successfully) to clone a virtual machine hosting both a Server and Portal (v10.4.1)? I would like to know what changes needs to be done on the clone to make it work independently. Thanks!

Another way to overcome <java.io.EOFException> is by sharing the service using server's http connection: http://localhost:6080/arcgis I still get <Invalid parameters>, but I guess this is not ArcGis fault.

I use it integrated with Oracle WAM , which can use http/https. Easier to configure the integration.

I had to use HTTP instead of HTTPS. Can be used in parallel. 1. Need to check if your server is supporting both HTTP and HTTPS (by default it does). Login to check: e.g. http://localhost:6080/arcgis/admin/security/config 2. Go ahead and configure new maps using HTTP services (simply use 080 port instead of 443) e.g. http://localhost:6080/arcgis/rest/services 3. You can do this by logging into Portal using its HTTP port e.g. http://localhost:7080/arcgis/home

The map is probably not shared. Login to portal/online and share it with the groups/users you have defined there.

Thanks Randall. It is happening only for this tool. I was able to resolve <java.io.EOFException> by granting Admin privs in the GIS Server to user who is publishing. Now, I have another error and I am still not able to publish geoprocessing results: Failed to execute: Parameters are not valid. ERROR 000735: Server: Value is required. Failed to execute (UploadServiceDefinition). Please help with a thought.

Thanks Randall. I noticed it only happens when I try to publish geoprocessing (Extract_Delta_Changes) results. Do you know how can I find more info about what is causing the crash ? Vague info in the server/service logs ... Appreciate it. Thank you!

My database is registered with Gis Server. I have created a server managed connection, otherwise the map was failing during validation. It is clearly a database side issue, but not sure where the problem is..all looks good. Any other suggestion/advice would be much appreciated. --Daniel
