Hi Robert. I looked at this sample before. I would prefer dropdowns to this bookmark_dijit. I was wondering if I could use html5 geolocoation api on top of js api and point each dropdown to a particular lat,long. Thank you.

Hi Walter, Your data in ArcGIS Server are configured as not editable. You can change it by: Choosing Allow Edits in your database before you publish the server.

In my web app, I have 5 different boundaries as a feature layer. Each boundary layer represents a geographical location, for instance, I have a specific region of Birmingham, Philadelphia, North Carolina. I want to create dropdowns where if I select Birmingham, the map zooms into the boundary (feature layer) of Birmingham. I am using ArcGIS API for JavaScript 3.x. I looked at the sample of DataAdapterFeatureLayer but could not figure it out. What would be the possible easy ways to achieve that? Thanks,

I strongly believe you should not be editing objectid. The OBJECTID is a system primary key index of guaranteed unique values for that table that is read only, used by geoprocessing tools, scrolling and other system functions. There are two ways you can make OBJECTID in READONLY mode: 1. Do not display objectid in the attribute table 2. var layerInfos = [{ 'featureLayer': featureLayer, 'showAttachments': false, 'isEditable': true, 'showDeleteButton': false, 'fieldInfos': [ {'fieldName': 'Name', 'isEditable': false, 'label': '<b> Site Name:</b>'}, I don't see anything wrong with your code. If you have time, create a new database table with the same fields and data and don't mess up with objectid at all this time. Good luck!

Karen, Is the OBJECTID in READONLY mode? It would be easier for us to tell what is wrong if you can post your codes. Check this sample if you haven't already done so. Using the attribute inspector | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 3.20

Brandon, How about upgrading your SQL Server to 2012 or 2014 or using the lower versions of ArcMap such as 10.2 or 10.3?

Crystal, I would recommend you to store the images in the server since your images range in between 2 and 10 MB. Also, you should carry the urls in the table. Good luck!

Crystal, How big are the images to be stored? If the size of the images is pretty large, storing them on the server and then referencing in the story map would be a better option. If the size of the images is not big, you can just drag/drop images. What urls you are referencing here? Are these urls images?

I In the following arcgis api for javascript 3.19 sample, ArcGIS API for JavaScript Sandbox , when I choose the dropdon option "Query ArcGIS Layer (QueryTaskLP)" it asks for arcgis online credentials. After I enter my valid credentials for arcgis online, it does not load any layers into the map. Shouldn't it be loading the features just like coosing other dropdowns?

My Search option is pointing to a feature layer that has a few features. Each feature of this feature layer refers to a particular region in the map. I was thinking about creating a drop down list inside the search option. As a result, a user can choose from the drop downs and ENTER. After that, the map should zoom into the region the feature points to. Is that possible or should I use QueryTask to achieve this?
