I manage to apply the registration from the ArcGIS Server manager and with few clicks here and there it appears to work fine as per the screenshots below. Not sure the registration is an issue in Pro. It has never been an issue in ArcMap

ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0\Pro 3.0.1: Data registration fails and ends up with “error validation with server”, As per the screenshot below, despite the fact that the ArcGIS Server is correctly federated, data registration fails and ends up with “error validation with server”. What might be the issue here?

ArcGIS Pro 3.0.2: How to calculate the area for the classes generated by “reclassify” tool in the model builder? For example, in the screenshot below, class#9 has 262 cells. Thus, its area is 262x10x10. How the “cell size” can be identified from the raster so that it can be multiplied by the “count” in order to calculate the area of each class?

I feel that the “feature layer” service is behaving as referenced and copied at the same time! But it’s neither referenced nor physically copied!

The installation of Oracle Home and Oracle Client gets complicated in 19.3C I’m advised to apply the following commands on the Oracle Home machine sqlplus sys/Oracle123@M1 as sysdba select name open_mode from v$pdbs; sqlplus sys/Oracle123@M1pdb as sysdba select name open_mode from v$pdbs; ALTER PLUGGABLE DATABASE OPEN; This is in addition to some editing on the listener.ora and tnsnames.ora files

Thank you for the input. This means that in case of “map image” option, either referenced or copied, it has nothing to do with Hosting Federated ArcGIS Server and thus nothing will be registered in C:\arcgisdatastore

As per the screenshot below, it appears that there is kind of connection that's kept between the “hosted feature layer” and its source data. For example, if a field is required to be added to one of the class features of the source data that particiaptes in the service, then schema lock error pops up. What I meant here that we need the users of our services to enjoy the advantages of publishing our data with “feature layer” format but unfortunately, we are losing one major functionality: edits are not synchronized! This means that we need to publish the same data twice: one as “map image” (feature enabled, of course the data needs to be enterprise), and the second as “feature layer”

But why technically it’s impossible to gain all? To have all the advantages of “hosted feature layer” (as it behaves exactly as class feature where symbology, labeling, analysis, export, etc can be performed) along with having all the edits reflected on the source data? In additon to that, I don’t figure out why “an ArcGIS Server designated as Hosting server should be a separate from another ArcGIS Server doing traditional map layers” The Hosting Federated ArcGIS Server can do both: Can publish data with traditional services (map image service). The published services are the same ones that are published with federated or unfederated ArcGIS Server Can publish data with hosted services (feature layer) In return, the Non-hosting Federated ArcGIS Server can’t publish “feature layer” This means that the hosting federated ArcGIS Server can do all: As a non-federated ArcGIS Server As a federated ArcGIS server Of course, as hosting federated ArcGIS Server

ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0\Pro 3.0.2: Why edits applied on source data of “feature layer” are not reflected on the service and vice-versa? Despite the many advantages of the “feature layer” service as it behaves exactly as if it’s a feature class and thus symbology, labeling, analysis, export, etc can be performed, it has a major disadvantage when it comes to editing due to the fact that edits applied on source data of “feature layer” are not reflected on the service and vice-versa
