Count and percentage of each class in the legend!   I got known that in the ArcGIS 10.1 we will be able to type the count of the each class in the legend! It is a good idea if they try to automatically calculate the percentage of each class as well. Most of my shapefile's attribute table are in arabic font and on the pop.ups, txt are appeared in different characters which cant be read...i really appreciate for any help on this matter...thanks I think this problem is windows related! please, see the screenshots below and try to adjust your settings accordingly. The cell size and scale of the aerial photography should be available when the imagery is purchased.  I am not sure what you mean by accuracy.   For aerial photography there may be a tag on it, that will indicate all of this information. If the information has been removed, then you will have to hope the metadata will include the focal length of the camera or scale.  Trying to reverse engineer the information without the components may be very challenging.  There are resources on the web that discuss the photogrammetric calculations. Accuracy is usually the result of a classification, which is obtained through an accuracy assessment. Thank you Jeff for the answer. I'm not sure why the properties of the aerial photos just shows the cell size but neither the scale nor the accuracy! i didn't mean by the accuracy the one that is calculated from the classification! what i mean is the degree by which the digitized object are close to the actual value. for example, suppose that an edge of building is digitized to have 20 meter while the actual value of this edge is 21 meter, then there is an error of 1 meter between the digitized value (which is obtained from the aerial photo) and the true value measured on the ground. likewise, if the aerial photo measures the elevation, then there is an accuracy in measuring the elevations! how these values are represented on the properties of the aerial photo? regards Jamal ... Thanks for posting the shapefile. The shapefile is ANSI, and the Language ID in the file is indicating ANSI. I'll have to refer this issue to another team, and I'll post back here with any information I can. The dbfDefault setting will definately not make any difference to the upload or display in the browser - its only going to affect viewing the shapefile in ArcGIS Desktop on your system (the Silverlight runtime does not have access to your system registry to read this for security reasons). I was trying to find out any other ways around this issue - After doing some more research, I'm not sure that the windows arabic codepage can be encoded into the ANSI dbf file structure (there is not enough space available in the file structure to indicate the higher codepages). According to KB article 21106, you can have UTF-8 unicode shapefiles, so they would be able to store arabic characters correctly and it's possible the upload would work then; however, I cannot find out how to create a file like this, so I'm afraid I have no solution for this at the moment and I'll have to post back when I get some more information.
