With the Silverlight viewer the basemaps reference layers that require internet access. And you can't remove basemaps from application. What you can try and do is add your own basemap and remove all the other default basemaps. Hi, The logic behind ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight Add-in and ArcGIS for Desktop Add-in is quite different. There is no way you could use the add-in from Desktop in Silverlight Viewer directly. Neither can you "recompile" the add-in to match Silverlight standards. You will need to write an Silverlight Viewer add-in from scratch (or by using samples). Naturally you could take the idea behind Desktop add-in (written in C# or VB, for instance) and then use it as a reference when writing Silvelight add-in using ArcGIS API for Silverlight. Hi, No, there isn't such a tool available out-of-the-box. To my knowledge, the only ways to achieve this: author a GP service, write an add-in, or use single field locator. Two of these methods will have some limitations, so developing an add-in is of course the most powerful way to meet your business needs. Yes.  Enterprise ArcSDE isn't a database, it's an application server that lives in a database. Hi Jamal, Have you tried un-checking/re-checking the parent layer from the TOC of the ArcMap session to "refresh" the workspace?
