Note: The "Register the selected objects with the option to move edits to the base" will only work when the edits are done in DEFAULT version. If new features are edited in any other version, the records still get written to the a- & d- Tables (Delta Tables).

No, it is not possible to rename versioned views as they are created automatically - no input name is taken. Unable to custom name multi-version view in ArcSDE Service 10.2.1 Is it possible to manually rename versioned views in ArcGIS 10.2? https://community.esri.com/ideas/6881

Just to clarify something to avoid confusion, the ArcGIS Diagrammer and the Geodatabase Diagrammer are two different tools. This thread was discussing about the ArcGIS Diagrammer, which was last released for ArcGIS 10.2.x. ArcGIS Diagrammer

If you grant Privileges using ArcCatalog, then those will be listed in the Manage>Privileges window in ArcCatalog. Permissions granted from the Database end, will not show up here in ArcCatalog. So probably the permissions in your case were granted from the DB end, hence nothing shows up there.

SQL Server spatial types and ArcGIS—Manage geodatabases in SQL Server | ArcGIS Desktop ArcGIS adds a column to store extra geometric elements The geometry and geography types cannot store all types of geometric elements that geodatabases must support. Therefore, when you create or register a feature class that uses the geometry or geography storage type with a geodatabase in SQL Server, ArcGIS adds a column to the business table to store these additional geometric elements. The column is called gdb_geomattr_data. The additional geometric elements include the following: Parametric objects such as circular arcs and Bezier curves created with advanced editing tools PointIDs Multipatch features Surface patches from ArcGIS Spatial Analyst When ArcGIS detects the data source has these additional geometric elements, a simple geometric representation is stored in the shape column and the unmodified data (including the additional elements) is stored in the gdb_geomattr_datacolumn. What version of ArcGIS Desktop is being used? What is the version of the Enterprise geodatabase? What version of SQL Server database is being used? Was editing working fine on the same data and you are suddenly getting this error? Or did you make some changes today and now you get the error?

In case you have a Desktop 10.5.x available, Registering the View with the Geodatabase, should take care of this.

If I have an ArcGIS Server Workgroup, it probably means that my geodb is a workgroup, and thus that I can connect only via Add Database Server. Is it right? No, you should be able to connect to a Workgroup gdb using the 'Add Database Connection' option as well, using both the Windows Login or the Database Authenticated Login. If so, how would I use db autentication rather than windows autentication to connect to it? Would I be able to do that or there's no way I can do i t with a workgroup db? Add Database Server automatically uses the Windows Login. So you can never use a Database Authenticated login while trying to connect using "Add Database Server". Basically the below link answers your question: Connect to a desktop or workgroup geodatabase—Help | ArcGIS Desktop Most people need to access and work with datasets in geodatabases, but not to perform administration tasks. If you are connecting to a desktop or workgroup geodatabase to create or work with the data in the geodatabase, you can connect using the Database Connection dialog box.

An Enterprise Geodatabase can be created on a SQL Server Express instance as well. So you will have to use the 'Database Connection' in that scenario to connect from ArcCatalog, without any other option. The Add Database Server is mainly used for Desktop gdb and Workgroup gdb. It cannot be used to connect with an Enterprise gdb.

If you are Unregistering as Versioned, a particular data and Compressing during the above mentioned process....then there will be no entries in the Compress Log file. Compress Log file will only add an entry when you perform the Compress for the entire Geodatabase, not for a particular Feature Dataset\Feature Class.
