I clicked "analyze map" in the file menu on the MXD. Apparently there was a hidden data table with a missing source in the table of contents.

It's definitely not ArcMap or ArcPy on the machine. We have a couple dozen map services that publish to our server daily, and they've all been fine. This is the only map that contains a graphics layer and NetCDF files. That shouldn't matter, should it? We just made sure that the layers all had the same coordinate system, and the data frame is projected in WGS 1984 World Mercator. It's still freezing up during analysis in ArcMap and crashing in Python. The server doesn't have any log messages.

Yes, no matter what layers are removed from the MXD, the script fails once the MXD is copied into this "0" folder.

When I run the Python script, it creates the sd draft in a documents folder in addition to a folder named "0." The layers and geodatabase associated with the service get copied in there. I noticed Python crashed when the MXD was copied into this folder. I'll save it with a new name in case it's corrupted.

I'm trying to publish a map service from ArcMap (10.3). It sits at 0% on "analyzing service" forever before I have to close ArcMap in the task manager. If I try to publish from Python, it creates a 51KB service definition file and then Python crashes. I'm getting no errors and nothing shows up in the ArcGIS server logs. This service has five layers, two of which are time enabled NetCDF rasters, and one that is a graphics layer. I'm not sure how to proceed.

I think the problem is that the data is also stored on the workstation where I created the service, so the GP tool was pulling local data. I probably should have set up the service to get the data from the registered data store in the first place. I'll do this in the future.

The GP service Python script calls the data from a central storage drive, which is registered with the server. The ArcGIS server is not accessing the data directly. I alter the paths in the Python script once the service is published. We don't want to keep data on the server's local drive because it's on a VM with a small amount of storage. Worst case scenario, I can just let the data copy over and then delete it from the server.

I'm trying to publish an updated Python script GP service with an added parameter. This service uses about 10GB of data, which is already contained in a central data repository accessible to the server. I've tried to publish the updated service through ArcMap and with a Python script and I can't get it to not re-copy the data over to the server. I've tried unchecking the "allow data to be copied to the server" box on the ArcGIS server manager and setting copy_data_to_server =False in my sddraft definition in Python. It's still copying over the data. I just need the service itself, and I'll alter the Python script data paths once it's published.

I needed to change all the ESRI path variables to local and network paths because of problems with the workspaces. I suppose I could copy the script that's currently on the server and overwrite the new one after republishing.

I have a GP service script tool published to our ArcGIS Server. It has five input parameters. I'd like to add two more. Is it possible to accomplish this in the Server admin, or would I have to edit and republish the tool from Desktop or Catalog? I would like to avoid the latter because I had to make extensive changes to the Python script once it was published to the Server.

This didn't work. I'm not using an info template, just the popup template. var popupTemplate = new PopupTemplate({
showAttachments: true
});

I have a popuptemplate that displays a chart attachment for a feature. Is there a way to remove the text "Attachments:" from the popup and just show the attachment?
