Is there a way to use planar measurements based on a State Plane coordinate system versus geodesic measurements based on Web Mercator? Custom measure widget perhaps? Thanks

Yes, Windows Server 2008. That explanation makes sense. We're not developers in the slightest, so this workflow would be new to us. We'll give that a shot. Thanks!

Still can't get the service to start. "Windows could not start the ArcGISWebAppBuilder service on Local Computer" Don't know what else to do.

Thanks for your help Robert. No I do not want to run the beta as well. But for some reason when I try to run the release version it says port 3344 is in use. I ran a port scan and can't find anything using it, so I attributed it to the beta1 somehow holding onto ports 3344-3346.

I can't seem to get the released version of Web AppBuilder installed as a service. I had to change to port 3347, since the beta version ran on 3344. Don't know how to release that port. I can get the new version running from the startup.bat file after changing the port. I can also get the service installed, but it won't start. Is it because it's trying to use port 3344? Where can you change the port when you install as a service? This install is a major pain in the rear.

I have a Trimble T41 running Windows Mobile and a Trimble Pro6H receiver. I am able to connect to the receiver via bluetooth. In ArcGIS it shows GPS position information when I select GPS status. However, when I attempt to collect a feature, I get the following error: SatViewer No GPS data is coming over COM 9. Try changing the COM port. Any suggestions??

Hi, in a flexviewer app, i use a cached mapservice from 1:6.000.000 to 1:2.000 scales as basemap. My users need to zoom at scales 1:1000, 1:500. As 1:2000 is the max resolution of the photo i don't want to cache it at highter scales. I don't wan't to display the photo as a dynamic layer (network performance). I can add lods for the 1:1000 and 1:500 scales, but is it possible to display the basemap tiles with a lower resolution instead of blank tiles or a no data picture at highter scales ? I had a similar issue. Here's a suggestion. Create the cache definition with LODs up to 1:500. Set the cache generation to manual. Also select build cache on demand. Once the service is published, manually generate the cache up to 1:2000. If a user happens to zoom in closer, the cache will be built on demand for that area.

I get the same error when the output location is an SDE database connection. It works fine when the output is the default file gdb. I can access the SDE database fine. I was able to import the created feature class in the default gdb into my SDE database.
