The AGOL-hosted feature layer is editable. The View Layer is read only. Nothing special about the View Layer.

Josh, Yes, there is a View Layer that was created from the hosted feature layer and I am pretty sure that editor tracking is enabled. I am seeing the problem with the original hosted feature layer, not the derivative View Layer. The View Layer behaves properly. What seems so odd is that this one deleted feature is only displaying at certain scales, while all the other features display at all scales. @NDFAdmin

Some others do see this same behavior. I opened Edge, which I rarely use, and deleted the browser cache. Opened an InPrivate window. Logged in to AGOL. Opened the Group that has access to this layer. Opened the web map in Map Viewer Classic. The "Deleted Feature" shows up when zoomed to large scales (zoomed in), but DOES NOT show up in the attribute table. Other features show at all scales and EXIST in attribute table.

I'm using an AGOL hosted feature layer created by another agency. The other agency added a polygon feature, then later deleted it. I'm seeing odd behavior where the "deleted feature" is still showing up in the AGOL web map viewer ONLY AT CERTAIN SCALES and I can even click on the feature and get a popup. But if I look at the feature layer's Item Details, DATA tab, the "deleted feature" is truly gone. We are getting similar weird behavior with this layer (the deleted feature still showing up at certain scales) in our own in-house javascript API map viewer. The only thing I can think is that this is some caching issue with the AGOL-hosted feature layer. What is the best way to deal with this inconsistent behavior? Refreshing the browser (F5) does not help.

Dylan, The service was published to AGOL by another organization, so I don't have control over the "dynamic" functionality. One of your links, however, led me to the answer I needed about the capabilities of services. "Identify" is only an Operation available for Map Services, not Feature Services. So thanks for that!

Just checking out the new Timeline block in StoryMaps as promoted here: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/story-maps/constituent-engagement/storymaps-timeline-block The image component of an "event" would benefit from the ability to include a hyperlink. Hyperlink could allow user to drill further into details for a particular "event".

It is looking to me like perhaps the Identify operation is specific to Map Services and doesn't apply to Feature Services. Can anyone confirm this suspicion?

I have an AGOL hosted feature service that is publicly shared. Currently it looks like the only Supported Operation, as shown in the REST endpoint, is Query. Are other capabilities such as Identify (which we see in ArcServer services) possible?

We have a secure Feature Service hosted on AGOL that a wide community uses to edit wildfire perimeters via a Collector app. I would like to add this data to a javacript map viewer that we use, but this app really WANTS a Map Service, not a Feature Service. Is there any way to create a derivative Map Service from this AGOL hosted Feature Service?

An oldie, but a goody! Unfortunately, the same thing can't be said if you start out with a secured Feature Service. Doesn't matter whether you specify a layer number or not, you get a Feature Service output either way.

Hey Josh, thanks - it always helps to know that what I want to do is POSSIBLE. And your step-by-step details with screen shots are awesome. I'll work with this a bit and see if I can get somewhere.

We are just getting started with vector tile layers. I've created a vector tile layer (in Pro) and published it to our Portal. I'd like to use this single VTL in a variety of ways by applying different styling. Example: I have a daytime and a nighttime basemap. I'd like to have two different styles that can be used with my VTL so that it displays legibly over either a dark base and a light base. Is this possible in Portal?

Yes, the end result of that is very much like what I hope ESRI will provide for everyone through some sort of admin dashboard. Thanks for posting your script @jcarlson

It would be useful if we could have a dashboard or a report of some sort that identifies AGOL items that are "gathering dust". Something like, show me all the layers, apps, or maps that have had fewer than 10 hits in the last year. I'm concerned with trying to manage the ever-growing pile of AGOL "stuff". A lot of items get created while experimenting or building apps and many of these things end up not getting used in production. Not to mention the HUGE pile of items that deploying an ESRI solution creates, many of which turn out to be superfluous. In order to reduce confusion and remove clutter, it would be useful to be able to clearly see which Items are getting traffic and which are not.
