Darren, Got it! I took your code and modified it to: elseif InStr( [Modified], nblaugh) then Score =7 Thank you very much for your help. I had been puzzling over that problem for some time.

It still doesn't work. Field Calculator accepts the code but does not recognize any relevant records.

I am calculating values for a field (Score) based upon the names from another field (Modified). One name is "blaugh\nblaugh". Field Calculator keeps treating the name as having a new line command. I have tried using Like, Right, Contains, etc but the Field calculator does not seem to be able to use those commands. I am stumped. Ex1: elseif [Modified] = "blaugh\nblaugh" then Score =7 Ex2: elseif Right( [Modified], -6) = "blaugh" then Score =7 Ex3: elseif [Modified] LIKE "*nblaugh" then Score =7 I am using vb in ModelBuilder and ArcCatalog 10.3.1 Any help will be appreciated.

The symbology is finally working. I updated from 10.2.2 to 10.3.1. The server I was loading the service upon was already running 10.3.1. I do not know if the problem was either caused by a bug in 10.2.2 or caused by the difference in versions. Whichever the case, it now works.

Then there is no method to have the Dashboard view and run queries only? I am thinking about when people make a change to a widget, can't fix it back or make the change workable and then I will be the one in charge of repairing the widget so they can view what needs to be viewed.

Does anyone know a method to restrict editing on the widgets? The operations dashboard I am developing will be used by multiple people. I do not want everyone to be able to make changes to the widget configurations. Run queries, use the filters and re-arrange widget locations are all fine but changes to the configurations are not.

After more trial and error, I have discovered the problem: When configuring the list widget, I set it to display 50 results. Apparently it just takes the 1st 50 records and never looks beyond the 1st 50. I had assumed when I used a filter, the filter was searching all 25,000 records, not just the 1st 50. Once I configured the widget to display 25,000 records, the filter searched and found all the names. The filter is still glitching a little so I changed the configuration to include the map selection and will be using that when possible.

I have created a model where a layer references symbology from another layer (not in the model). After running the model and viewing the layer in Arcmap, the symbology looks correct. After I publish the layer the majority of the symbology becomes 70% transparent and any black in the imagery is completely transparent. I have added and re-added the symbology. I have created brand new symbology. I have copied re-named the 4 symbols (out of 30) that are published without problems and used the copies for the ruined symbology but the copies end up being published transparent. I created all the symbology using exactly the same method. There is absolutely no difference, other than the name, for the copied symbology and yet only 4 symbols will publish correctly. Any help will be appreciated. I am using ArcMap 10.2.2. Arcgis Server 10.31

Hello Everybody, My filter in my list view is not working. I am searching for people's names and the filter will only fully acknowledge records for 2 of the names. Incomplete results are given for one name and the filter does not even acknowledge the other 7 names. I have added and re-added the data, used different computers and successfully created queries using those same names. I am not sure what else to do at this point. Has anyone encountered this problem? Suggestions? I am using data from Arcmap 10.2.2, Portal 10.3, Dashboard Product Version 10.3.1 and Dashboard Runtime Version 10.2.5.

The error returned is "Invalid Column Name" The second table is registered and includes a "Shape" geometry column. If I use the double double quotes then I received the error: "The multipart identifier ArcDev.GISOWNER.OIDTest_sites_2015i_2016"."Modified" could not be bound. Same for single quotes.

"ArcDev.GISOWNER.OIDTest_sites_2015i_2016"."Modified" > max("ArcDev.GISOWNER.Geocoded_allrecords"."Modified") I am using ArcMap 10.2.2 and working in ModelBuilder. My data is from an SDE geodatabase. The error occurs no matter which columns I select and no matter which tables I use. 'Make Query Table' is fine with the columns if I do not use a 2nd table in the query but anytime another table is added, I cannot do anything. I have tried the default double quotes, single quotes and the shown-above multiple double-quotes.
