We have published with ArcGIS Pro 2.8 to a federated ArcGIS Server 10.9.1. We are not wishing to have any custom format on the locator, mostly to have more flexibility in the suggestions 😉

Hi Amanda, thank you for your reply! We have already published our locator to a Geocoding service in our ArcGIS Server and portal. This behaviour is reproducible in the geocoding service, when we use the REST API. Hope it is more clear now :-).

Hi all, we are using a custom locator based on local data. The data are quite extensive and with a lot of information. We have on our data a street entry with the following attributes: Street name = 'Ruy' Full street name = 'Rue Ruy' Prefix type = 'Rue' etc. When we search for a street address using the suggest method and we use Text = 'Ruy', we receive zero suggestions. The same with the findCandidates. If we search with the Text = 'Rue Ruy' we receive all the related results, same behaviour in findCandidates. We would like to receive all the related results, even if the user is typing 'Ruy'. We have tried to use wildcards, changing the minimum match/candidate score to very low values, Match with no zones is set to yes, but no luck so far. It seems like the query works as if it is: Text like 'Ruy%', instead of Text like '%Ruy%' We have noticed also, that Single line Address Field is the FullAddress . Is there any way to retrieve suggestions as if we were searching Text like '%Ruy%' ? That would be the best solution for us 😄 Or is there any other way to improve this results?

Ok, we have found the solution for our issues. We had 2 different issues, one during the "Continue Upgrade" step and one during the "Post Upgrade" step. During the "Continue upgrade" step, Microsoft Edge (and Chrome) was just showing a white page and we could not continue to import the license file. This was fixed by cleaning history and cache for the browsers. Also we had to wait for 2-3 minutes for the page to load properly... During the "Post upgrade" step. We run this step using the url of the external load balancer i.e https://loadbalancerportal.domain.com/arcgis/home instead of using the machine url. It failed. When we execute the post upgrade from the machine url and from the portaladmin page i.e https://portal.domain.com:7443/arcgis/portaladmin then it worked!

@PrasadJ we found a solution from our side. We had 2 issues: During the "Continue upgrade" step, Microsoft Edge (and Chrome) was just showing a white page and we could not continue to import the license file. This was fixed by totally cleaning history and cache for the browsers. I hope you have found a solution for your case.

Ahh good to know. Only the setups. It is impossible to continue on the upgrade. I have deleted the cache from the browser (edge) and i just see a white page. Also i have noticed that somehow the user that is assigned to log on the portal service, has lost the rights to access the installation folder e.g. C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal. It is a domain user, not a local machine user. I had to set them back up manually

Hi all, we have an installation of a high available portal 10.8.1 in windows with a federated ArcGIS Server. Everything works perfectly. We decided to upgrade to the latest version 10.9.1. We started installing the portal software in both machines, as described here. Installing the software worked perfectly for both machines. We run the installation simultaneously as suggested in the link above. The portal windows service restarted. Then we noticed that only the javaw.exe was running and no java.exe was running. We followed the instuctions here to make sure that the C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\framework\runtime\tomcat\conf\server.xml is correctly set and that the indexes doesn't have any issue. The portal logs have no error. The elastic logs mention "can not be imported as a dangling index, as index with same name already exists in cluster metadata" for all the indexes. The windows Event viewer mentions that "postmaster.pid does not exist". We run a portal repair with the windows installation and we restart the whole machine but it didn't work. Does anyone have a similar issue or any experience? Any help is appreciated :-).

Hi Andrew, thanks for the reply and further information about the subject. The only question remained for us is why we are receiving the CORS problems when we connect via the powerbi service (app.powerbi.com) to our portal? As a workaround, I have tried to connect to our IWA portal via ArcGIS Maps for PowerBI, bypassing the webadaptor (so without SSO, using the port 7443) and then it works. Both IIS and Portal are allowing all the origins. In general, we don't have any issues with our portal or IIS with any other application (e.g. Autocad plugin) when it tries to connect to the Portal

Thanks for the reply! I will definetely update my desktop PowerBI to the latest version but my issue is still occuring for the powerBI web application. I tried to connect to our ArcGIS Enterprise (IWA activated), not connecting via the webadaptor thus bypassing the SSO and... it works. So the CORS issue in the powerbi web app is somehow related with the IWA configuration. I remember that with older versions, this was not a problem. I am going to check with the latest version of PowerBI desktop.

Hi all, I have exactly the same issue as above. But toggling the cors policy didn't fix it. We use an enterprise portal with IWA, and we don't have any value in the Allow Origins, i.e. we don't block any url. Are there any updates on this? Thanks!

Hi @ThomasSolow , I have noticed that we have the same issue with a multipoint feature layer and the popup for version 4.21 of the ArcGIS JS API. We create a feature layer based on a feature service with feature access. We set the popuptemplate for this service in the code. We load the layer in a mapview. When we click on one of the multipoint features to open the popup, then it doesn't open. In the same feature service we have more layers with polygons and lines. We load these layers too in the mapview and the popup works perfectly. We have also noticed that when we create a new feature from the multipoint feature layer, using the Editor widget, then the popup appears until we refresh the page. I guess there is a temporary graphic created? Can you please confirm if the popup for multipoint feature services works fine with the latest version of the API (4.21) ? Thanks!

Hi, We have this issue here: Feature layer and map image service attribute-driven symbology related with rendering a feature service based on a map that uses data driven symbology. We have attributes that store the color of each feature as a hex color and the size as a number. We have tried to find a workaround for the issue by creating a unique renderer with visual variables. It works for the size but we haven't found a way to make it work for colors. The color variable must have stops of numeric values and in our case, we store the color value directly. The colors can be whatever input from the user. Can we create a custom renderer to change the color of the features based on the value of a field? Thanks!
