This ability is already available in the ArcGIS Pro installation within the command line during install or as a registry setting found with in the MSI install package. If you are doing managed deployments, you should set the 'do not check for updates' option. Command line: msiexec /i ArcGISPro.msi ALLUSERS=1 ESRI_LICENSE_HOST=my_license_server SOFTWARE_CLASS=Viewer LOCK_AUTH_SETTING=False AUTHORIZATION_TYPE=CONCURRENT_USE CHECKFORUPDATESATSTARTUP=0 ACCEPTEULA=YES Install Editor (Orca.exe) Find the Property table within your MSI and set the CHECKFORUPDATESATSTARTUP setting, set to 0. Of note, most command line parameters can be set in this table as well.

or you can just create the .prj file manually. They are just text files with a .prj (projection) extension, if your shapefile is named mydata.shp then the prj would be named mydata.prj. Example contents of the file at ESRI PRJ File (https://vsp.pnnl.gov/help/vsample/ESRI_PRJ_File.htm)

The ability to define a coordinate system is a fundamental 1st step in creating any dataset. I discussed this issue with the ESRI Coordinates team at the User Conference, that being stated this is what happens when you higher programmers who can't spell 'GIS' and given them veto authority over the GeoScientists in the room. Breaking a tool that has existed since ArcInfo 9.0 without appropriate error messaging shows they were not doing regression testing. A user should not have to come 'HERE' to see why the DEFINE command failed.

If the number is 'exactly' 300 each time you get that error that means it is a setting in the Feature Class definition. This is along the lines that the maximum number of features you can select in ArcGIS Server is 2000, be default. If you have access or know the admin for the server I would have them check the Parameters for the feature service. Also, if this is a long running event, another default is 600 seconds maximum time you can 'continually' use a service.

Are you publishing to ArcGIS Online or to an ArcGIS Server/ArcGIS Enterprise? For ArcGIS Server in production environments there is a configuration setting to 'not copy data'. In those environments the feature service is published but the data is coming from your ArcSDE data server. The intent is to prevent the 'copy' of data out of the organization onto AGOL or an ArcGIS Enteprises server (i.e., the FC is just connecting to your enterprise data set, not to a copy).

I agree, ArcGIS Pro needs an ASPX Doctor!. So, in ArcGIS Pro they do use relative path names to the data. However, your issue is ALL the files have moved (but hopefully the file paths are the same). In that case, please recall the following, once a layer or layerx file is opened in an ArcGIS Project the information is stored within the project (i.e., it does not reference the .lyr or .lyrx file directly once loaded). This means if the layer referenced a database, the database connection information is stored in the project.aprx, not the path to the layer file itself. If one has the project open you can use the Catalog View. You can update the paths in one item, such as a single map in the project, or access all the paths in the project. You can find and replace specific strings in the paths. To update paths in the current project, see Update data sources—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation. Second Option, update the Project path itself "within" the aprx, thus allowing the relative paths to work. To do this, recall that the .aprx file is actually a ZIP file. So, rename the project.asp to project.zip then copy the DocumentInfo.xml file out of it, edit in NotePad++, then copy-replace back into the original .aprx. Save the file and copy into the .zip; Rename the .zip back to .aprx. The next time you open the project it will use the NEW project path as the start of the relative pathing to your other files.

Based on your description, the first thing I would check is the geoprocessing history. Per ESRI "Geoprocessing tools add metadata about their execution in a geodatabase. The metadata includes the tool name, its location, and the parameters used when geoprocessing logging is enabled. Enterprise Geodatabases with large metadata stored can impact the performance." GIS users, or ArcSDE administrators sometimes need to delete the geoprocessing history from a feature class or workspace metadata. This same issue was reported in 2018 at How to remove GP History - Esri Community

I added an idea to have a more granular approach to the AI Assistance based on the app (Survey123 vs. Experience Builder vs. StoryMaps), currently it is All or nothing.

The AI opt-in setting in AGOL should be enhanced to be more granular. For example, I may want to enable use of the AI Assistant in Survey123 but not in other components in AGOL. Under this setting location in AGOL each possible component should be listed (e.g., Experience Builder, Survey123, Field Maps, StoreMaps, etc.) with an on/off toggle.

inconsequential means ArcGIS Pro 3.1. and 3.2 will not run without .Net Desktop Runtime 6.0.x. It ignores, does not use, .Net 8.

NO, you must have .Net Desktop Runtime 6.0.5 or later (in the .Net 6 family) loaded on your computer with ArcGIS Pro 3.1 and 3.2. ArcGIS Pro 3.3 was a breaking change when they moved to .Net Desktop Runtime 8.

As a start I would check the shapefile location you are trying to create or save results to. Is it on your local machine (NOT in OneDrive), Do you have full r/w/modify permissions to the folder, Is the folder path 'shallow' (e.g., C:\Temp\Results\myshape file), I would also consider saving the results to a file geodatabase vs. a shapefile. Last, if you are saving datetime fields recall that a new datetime format was introduce with Pro 3.4 that is not supported in shapefiles.
