To my knowledge, ArcGIS does not project/transform Z values, which is why I asked. You can usually find a way to do it manually though. I would start with trying the Adjust 3D Z tool using the From Units and To Units parameters. Keep in mind that this tool modifies the input data (I.e., it does not produce a new copy of the data) so be sure to create a backup copy of your data before running the tool. Here is the help doc: Adjust 3D Z—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS for Desktop

It falls outside of my skillset so I lack the expertise to provide anything meaningful for the configurable app issue issue you referenced but I did do a quick check. I found that there is also a specific bug that has been documented regarding the erroneous URL that is generated. Here is the info: BUG-000089526: In Portal for ArcGIS 10.3.1, a wrong URL is saved for an application created from the My Content page using a template. The analyst that submitted this defect did a good job of relating it to BUG-000087735, which is how I was able to find it. Both defects are marked as "Assigned" which means Development has acknowledged there is an issue and they are looking into it. I am not in Development so it is not possible for me to obtain any specific details regarding where they are at in addressing the issue. Hope this info is helpful.

Actually, I think the lastile tool is the one I was thinking of. What version of ArcGIS are you using and do you have any familiarity with ModelBuilder or Python scripting?

I can't think of a specific tool that would accomplish what you need but there may be something out there not included in the core tools (I just can't recall if there is at the moment). In any case, you should be able to automate this procedure with a model or script: 1. Create a fishnet that covers the extent of your large point dataset and that has cells with the dimensions you require. 2. Iterate over each cell in the fishnet to select the points within it. 3. Export the selected points to a new feature class. I will try to recall if I have actually come across a tool intended to do what you need and will post again if something comes to mind.

It is a challenging situation so I understand your frustration. Just as there are reasons why the current support structure is problematic, there are also reasons why it was advantageous (and even necessary) to set it up this way. The points you raise are not lost on Esri and efforts are being made to create a more unified support experience for all users. This is not something that would just be beneficial to users but would also allow Esri to be more responsive to the needs of all users (globally) and the issues they encounter. Big changes, especially global ones that involve numerous independent organizations, take time so in the meantime, I would suggest doing as others on this discussion suggested. If you are not making headway with your local distributor then post your observations to GeoNet. My situation may be unique when compared to many other Esri employees but spending time on GeoNet is actually an optional (but paid) part of my job. I enjoy supporting customers through GeoNet so I take advantage of the opportunity when my other responsibilities allow. I have even submitted defects to Development on behalf of GeoNet users or confirmed that there was already a documented issue. I have also observed members of various product teams throughout Esri doing the same for their relevant products. It is definitely a shot in the dark to post an issue to GeoNet and hope that an Esri employee with the necessary skillset and role in the company sees your post but it is always worth trying. Even if this doesn't occur, there are many incredibly knowledgeable users (such as those in this discussion) that are active on GeoNet and happy to assist you if they can.

To build on what Dan suggested, you can join the attribute table from the final results back to your original line data if you need the lines in their original form.

In addition to Dan's suggestion (which should do what you need), this map algebra expression applied in Raster Calculator should yield all of the land use cells that overlap with Parcel 2 cells: Con("Parcels" == 2,"Landuse",SetNull("Parcels","Landuse")) Alternatively, instead of setting all of the parcel cells not equal to 2 to NoData, you could simply set them to 0. It just depends on your needs. Here is that syntax: Con("Parcels" == 2,"Landuse",0)

There is definitely a difference there, especially with the text. A few questions: 1. To verify, this is the same raster? 2. If you add the raster to ArcMap instead of Pro, do you still observe the poor rendering? 3. Is the raster using RGB symbology (as seen in the Contents pane) or something else? 4. What is the format of the raster (e.g., tiff, sid, jpg, etc.)? You can check this under the raster's properties if you are not sure. 5. In Pro, select the raster in the Contents pane and select the "Appearance" tab. What "Resampling Type" is being used?

To my knowledge, nothing comparable to the Georeferencing Toolbar in ArcMap is available yet in Pro. This is likely what Vinay was referring to as the "full blown user experience ... in our roadmap." In regards to the basic georeferencing, Vinay was referring to the GP tools he mentioned in the last comment. The catch here is that you need GCPs, a link file, or a reference raster to use any of these tools for georeferencing purposes. Traditionally, the Georeferencing toolbar in ArcMap would be used to create GCPs and the resulting link file so until a similar capability is incorporated in Pro, you will probably need to stick with ArcMap for georeferencing.

Rotation is a common cause of change when projecting a raster but in your case there is no datum transformation so I don't think there would be any rotation (but I could be wrong). A few questions for you to consider: 1. Which resampling technique did you select? 2. Did you specify the output cell size? 3. Did you specify a registration point in the tool or a snap raster in the Environment Settings? You can find more details about each question in the Project Raster help document: Project Raster—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

Hi George, It seems to be something related to the data but that doesn't necessarily mean the data is bad. It may just take some preprocessing to get it to work properly. I have never observed this behavior before but let's see what we can figure out. For starters, what specifically do you mean by: I tried editing the values (tried to make arcmap exclude values lower than 1) of the original raster My first thought would be to eliminate the "sea" area from the data so I am curious what method you used when attempting this.

What tools/procedures are you using for the interpolations? The reason I ask is because the interpolation geoprocessing tools (e.g., IDW, Kriging) have output cell size parameters. In the case of these geoprocessing tools, this is not something you would specify in the Environment settings.
