Josh, The embedded survey123 form will be used to review and edit data. The S123 data contains info about the inspection of a well pad and contains a 5 digit code for the pad. There is no other identifying info collected in the field ie. name, location, etc. The SQL Server data contains the globalid from the S123 dataset and header data stored in our production database such as pad name, location, pad foreman, etc. that will be used as a filter in the dashboard to select the relevant data by the user. Once the user has selected the appropriate data, the Survey123 form will take the globalid from the SQL Server dataset and display the corresponding survey record. So far, no dice getting the S123 form to display the data. I am getting an error message stating "Editing in not possible because the globalid parameter has not been provided." Thanks, --gary

I have a dashboard that contains 2 separate datasets. One is from an embedded Survey123 form and the other is a SQL Server view. The SQL Server view contains the globalid and inspection information from the S123 form, plus it contains various header data from our production database. I am trying to make the embedded Survey123 form filter based on the globalid from the SQL Server dataset. Is this possible? Thanks, --gary

Were you using Survey123 Connect or web version? If Survey123 Connect, your files should be stored at: c:\users\yourname\ArcGIS\My Survey Designs Thanks, --gary

I am trying to calculate a yes or no answer for a field using the formula below. if((string-length(${inbox_flag})=5,"yes" and string-length(${leak_tagno})>0,"yes"), 'yes', 'no') I keep receiving invalid result and have been banging my head against the wall all afternoon. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, --gary

Is it possible to make a field required only when the survey is opened from the Inbox? Inspection will be performed and any deficiencies that are not immediately fixed onsite, are tagged and repaired at a future date. When the repair is completed, the repair info will be added to the existing inspection form (open/edit from Inbox) and I would like to make the repair date required only when the form is opened from the Inbox. Thanks, --gary

Is it possible to embed a Survey123 form in an Ops Dashboard if the Survey is created from a feature service in ArcGIS Enterprise and not a hosted feature service? I have a dashboard working with a hosted feature service survey, and when i crated a new dashboard for the 'non-hosted' feature service, i am getting the following error on the embedded Surevyer123 form: viewing is not possible because the globalId parameter was not provided. I have tried all variations of globalid syntax(GlobalID, globalID, etc.) and none worked. I am also just trying to view the record in the dashboard, no need to edit these. Survey created with Connect, ArcGISEnterprise (Portal) 10.8.1 Thanks, --gary

We are looking to create a survey for our GIS users to determine ArcMap vs. ArcPro usage. Just wanted to see if anyone has already done this. If you are willing to share your survey questions I would appreciate. Thanks, --gary

Try editing your feature service and check the 'allow geometry updates without m-value' check box. https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/publish-services/windows/configure-feature-service-m-values.htm Regards, --gary

I had a similar issue with a survey embedded in a dashboard and 2 issues were flagged by support. One was having 'jr:choice-name()' function within an equation. The second was using autocomplete for the appearance of a choice list. Our survey was initially created using Connect and stored in Enterprise. Hope this helps. --gary

Also, check out this article from Ismael. It should be very helpful. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-blog/working-with-existing-feature-services-in-arcgis-survey123/ba-p/894290 --gary

The short answer is yes. Publish the data you want to collect with Survey123 from your Enterprise Geodatabase as a feature service. Create your Survey123 forms in Connect using the published feature service instead of allowing S123 to create a hosted feature service. There are several steps needed to get your eneterprise gdb data usable (add spatial index) but it works great. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/reference/survey123withenterprise.htm?adbsc=social_branding_20181105_2590621&adbid=1059248943945605123&adbpl=tw&adbpr=3322007898 --gary

WE recently renewed our ELA and now have some Field Worker User Types available in Portal. I have been testing the User Type with S123 and I have a couple of issues. I created a new built-in Portal member, a new survey, and a new Field Worker group for the testing. When i created the survey in Connect, i enabled the inbox folder, allowed inbox surveys to be viewed and allowed inbox surveys to be edited. I also disabled the sent folder. When I opened the survey in the field app, the Sent folder was showing. After collecting one survey and uploading it successfully, I closed out of S123, re-opened it and attempted to view the collected survey in the Inbox. When I hit refresh on the Inbox, I receive 'Inbox is empty' and I am seeing 1 survey showing in hte Sent folder (even though it was disabled at publishing). Is this expected behavior for a Field Worker User Type? Can a Field Worker User Type access the Inbox and edit another Field Worker's survey? Thanks, --gary
