Hi Ethan, I am able to reproduce the issue you are seeing with iOS 10 and Shortlist in an iFrame, and have narrowed it down to a problem with the way we handle resizing some of the Shortlist elements. We have a fix for it, and are planning on including it in a Github update (available via download), most likely happening Monday. It would be best to wait for that update to pick up some of the other improvements/fixes we have made, but if you absolutely need the fix for the iFrame sizing issue before then, feel free to DM me on here, and we can help you patch that. Mark

Apologies again for the issue. After doing lots of digging, I have been able to reproduce and diagnose the problem, which is a bug on our side. Unfortunately this fix will not show up until our next release (early December), but a work around is available. Workaround: 1. Open the web map used in the Shortlist app in the ArcGIS online web map viewer. 2. Click 'Share' button, then 'Create a web App' button. 3. Pick the Shortlist app. 4. The Shortlist will then launch in a mode that will allow you to use your existing Shortlist point layer as the data source. The app will copy the web map to a new web map, preserving all of the work you did in adding places and all of its information. You should then be able to continue adding places successfully. We hope this is a reasonable solution to your problem and does not eat up anymore of your time. Let us know if you have any issues with this work around and we will do our best to get you back on track. -Mark

No problem. The icon used in the app is designated in the app/config.js file with the ICON_SRC property. You can try changing there, but you will also probably have to make some adjustments in the source code, as we are using that icon to create a canvas element and change its color according to the tab/theme color settings. That code can be found in the MainView.js file under the buildLayer function.

Hi Ethan, Is your question related to Map Tour or Shortlist? Are you looking to host the app yourself and use custom markers? Any example screenshots or app links would help clarify your issue as well. -Mark

Hi guys, Sorry you having issues with the Shortlist app. To correct what Rupert said above, the Shortlist viewer only displays places that have a set location, large picture, and place name. Are these places that are not showing in the viewer still loading/showing in the builder? Can you provide some links to your apps for us to take a look? Feel free to DM me if you do not want to post them here. -Mark

Hi Liling, Sorry you are experiencing problems with the Shortlist app. To clarify the difference between builder and viewer, to show up in the viewer, each place must have a location, picture, AND name. I see that in the screenshots you provided that the 'save' button is enabled. When I look at the web map used in your Shortlist, their are no locations in Nevada, so it does not look like these were written to the web map. The Shortlist App does not auto save, and any changes made in the builder must be saved in order to show up in the viewer (even for preview mode). As for the second problem, could you please elaborate on the steps used to recreate this issue? We have not seen/heard of this before. -Mark

Hi Kelly, Are using Portal? The Shortlist Beta app should show up in the 'Build a Story Map' tab. Thank you for the feed back. We are currently considering adding 1-3 that you mention, and already have the change base map functionality in the current release. -Mark

Happy to hear you were able to find a workaround. If you need to return to using your own hosted images, try changing the urls to use all forward slashes (http://gis.marioncountyfl.org/StoryMaps/HistoricSites/Thumbnail/UnionStation_now.jpg). Mark

Amanda, Try updating the thumbnail url in the Shortlist builder for some of the places with that properly formatted url and see if it resolves your issue.

Hi Amanda, Looking at your app, the requests for the thumbnail images are returning a 404 error (file or directory not found) i.e., http://gis.marioncountyfl.org/StoryMapsHistoricSitesThumbnailUnionStation_now.JPG . Double check the paths to your thumbnail images (can test by loading in a browser window), and that should resolve the issue. -Mark

Hi Niklas, 1. Currently there is not a way to really edit the data for Shortlist outside of ArcGIS Online. You can start with a csv, add it to a web map, then build a new Shortlist, but once the Shortlist is created, you would need to use the builder to edit. We do have plans to allow an author to point their Shortlist to a Feature Service, or external csv, and allow all editing to the places data to occur outside of the Shortlist builder. 2/3. The tab specific supporting layers is currently not hooked up in either version, but is on the road map for Shortlist 2.x. -Mark
