You can only export a feature class into a geodatabase, otherwise you will get this error. Did you create a file geodatabase to export the data into first?

That shouldn't be happening at all. What is the variable that is being changed? I'm assuming you have looked at all the steps and correctly identified the conversion to shapefile step as the one that changes your data. How exactly are you going about the conversion? How are you importing the xy data from excel?

Are you certain the data is being rounded, or is the field only displaying two decimal places? A quick test would be to create a new field with type float or double, and then calculate the field equal to your existing field.

Hi Kon, The first line of your text would just be the field headings (x, y, value). A z or m value is not required. The tool converts your xy values to points, and maintains the other value fields as required. I just did a quick test of made up data of 3 points. It worked great. This was a simple notepad file with tabs between values:

Hi Leo, hope I understand your question correctly. How I would approach this would be to use the Times tool (help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//009z0000009p000000.htm). Multiply raster 1 by 1000, raster 2 by 100, raster 3 by 10. Then use Raster Calculator (help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//009z0000009p000000.htm) to add the values of the 4 rasters together. You can then reclass the values of the result using your dictionary. Note: not sure what's going on with the links today. Usually pasting them results in a clickable link, but that doesn't appear to be happening as usual.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but can't this just be done by using the Create XY Event Layer (ArcGIS Help 10.1)? You would need to export to a shapefile after, of course.

Hi Maarten, have you looked at the Harmonized World Soil Database (IIASA - Land Use Change and Agriculture Program)? I haven't looked at it myself, but it could be a good resource.

Hi Andrew, are you absolutely SURE that your terrain data is created with the exact same coordinate system as the street data? Also, what method did you use to change your street data to the WGS 84 zone 35 projection (which I'm assuming is UTM)? Did you use the Project tool, which is the only method that truly changes the projection of data, and not the define projection tool, or just changing the data frame reference?

By Principal digits, do you mean no decimal places, only the degrees value, or something else altogether?

Hi Muhammad, it is better to share one post in several places than to repost it, so that all the answers are in one place. Reading your question, I'm guessing that you are looking to Reproject your data into GCS coordinates, or lat/long. You can use the Project tool to do this. Be aware though, that this will change your area measurements.

Hi Sam, what you're looking for is the Viewshed tool in the Spatial Analyst toolbox. This will give line of site areas for each cell tower.
