I see. So the code works with subsequent feature creation as is in the upcoming 2.1 Pro release. For the 2.0 there seems to be an issue with creating the fields on the background thread. Georeferencing rasters is available only as interactive user experience in ArcGIS Pro at this point in time. Based on the provided code snippets it is hard to tell why you are seeing the results. We would need to take a look at what the Python code does and compare it to the Pro code. The usage of currentPixelBlock and result is pretty much undefined based on the given information.

The code looks good, just keep in mind that the raster and the raster dataset are different things, and that the raster is a transient entity. Take a quick look at the raster concepts page for the Pro SDK ProConcepts Raster · Esri/arcgis-pro-sdk Wiki · GitHub Save your manipulated raster out to disk and you will see the changes of your write operation. - Thomas

Jack, yes you can do that. Please take a look at the documentation for this topic at Proportional symbols—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop and then the section Vary symbology by attribute. Once you have setup the renderer to your liking you can use the CIM Viewer (https://community.esri.com/groups/arcgis-pro-sdk/blog/2016/08/04/arcgis-pro-cim-viewer ) to take a look at the layer CIM representation to see what you need to configure in code and to see the appropriate CIM syntax. - Thomas

The geodesic length is providing shortest path on the ellipsoid. Depending on the length of your geometry you will indeeed see a difference in the actual length value for computed planar length or geodesic length - in either case the GeodesicLength method will provide you the answer in meter in the case the original geometry is a geographic coordinate system. It is not possible to just convert an angular unit value to a linear unit as there is a dependency on the location on the sphere/geoid/ellipsoid. To transform the information from a geographic coordinate system to a projected system (using linear units) you need to project the geometry. Here is a very nice description about the principles of map projections. For code examples please take at look at this location. - Thomas

The templates in Visual Studio are available in C# and VB.NET. Even though most of the examples and snippets are C# VB.NET is fully supported in the VS environment.
