Hi All, Every year we get an ortho image of our municipality which we generate publish to an ArcGIS Server as an image service and use for cache services. It is a mosaic image comprised for SID files. The images are the same resolution every year and the number of tiles delivered is also the same. Last year, when I generated Overviews, it generated about 35 tiff files. However, this year, it's generating over a 1000 tiff files. In fact, the total size of the overview folder is larger than the total size of the SID files this year. I generated the footprints using the default settings and calculated statistics. Not sure what's going on but any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks

No luck, unfortunately. We had to rebuild all the VMs and reinstall ArcGIS 10.7.1 on them. Seems that something corrupted on them. It even prevented the servers from getting updated versions of VMWare Management tools. Very strange. I attempted all your methods but it did not pan out. Thank you for the prompt reply! Appreciate it.

Ran into this issue during a production update today. Ours is a 3 machine cluster and we hit the snag right out of the gate. We tried everything but to no avail. The arcgis msi fails to recognize the c++ redistributables on the server. We installed and reinstalled them. Removed registry keys associated with it. Reinstalled. Nothing. So frustrating

I was getting this issue on the "Sites" app and I resolved it by deleting the "Groups" that were associated with the previous Site names that were used. So I had created a Site called "Staff Maps" however, there were some firewall issues while the site was being created and it errored out. However, it had created the Group and some other associated files. I deleted the site from Sites manager and then went to the Groups tab in Portal and deleted the associated Group (with the name Staff Maps) and it resolved the issue.

Hi, I'm trying to set a date field based on an answer to an earlier question on my form. So if the answer to the earlier question is "Yes" then, the date should be set it to 14 days from todays today. To do this, I perform the following calculation on my date field. if(${urgent_yesno} = 'Yes',today()+(14*24*60*60*1000),'') This works great in Desktop but does not work with the Web Forms. Is there something that I'm missing in the syntax? When I use just today() and omit the (14*24*60*60*1000), it sets the date okay. Seems to me it's the asthmatic that's messing up the statement. I also tried the below. That also works with desktop but not the web form. if(selected(${urgent_yesno},'Yes'), today() + 14*24*60*60*1000, '') Wondering if anyone can provide some guidance on this. Thanks, Ruchira

Thanks, Doug! That worked. Like you said, concat works on both the web and connect.

Hi All, I have a form that uses a condition based on one of the "select_one" fields in my survey. This is the condition I'm using in the "calculation" field. if(selected(${applicant_name},'Bell_Canada'),'BC-' + format-date(${_date},'%y') + '-CA-','None') Basically, if "Bell Canada" is selected, the field calculate will insert "BC-21-CA" into the "application_number". This works well in Survey123 Connect, however, when I try it in the browser, the field shows "NaN". Not sure why this is and any info to rectify this issue would be much appreciated. Thank you, Ruchira

Hello Victor, Were you able to resolve this issue? We were facing the same issue and was able to resolve it by creating and deploying a registry key that added the following values: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Lanmanworkstation\Parameters]
"DirectoryCacheLifetime"=dword:00000000
"FileNotFoundCacheLifetime"=dword:00000000
"FileInfoCacheLifetime"=dword:00000000 You can read more about it here: SMB2 Client Redirector Caches Explained | Microsoft Docs Theses keys have to implemented on the actual servers themselves, not the fileshare. In our case, we have a three machine cluster, and we ran the script on all three machines and restarted. We were able to publish without any issues afterwards. Good luck!

It has to be the owner schema, generally. I've set it up that way and it works like a charm.

Yes, the progression was 10.2.2 to 10.5.1 on Win7. It was noticeably slow on 10.5.1, however, I do mostly server work. My team does a lot of cartography and editing, so it affected them more consistently. Then a few weeks ago we migrated our workstations to Win10. Clean install and reinstalled all the programs. ArcMap 10.5.1 is still slow. The only thing I restored was my ArcCatalog Folder Connections and SDE connection files. Figuring maybe that was the issue, I even wiped that out to see if a completely fresh install of ArcMap would have the same issues, and it did. Yes, I use Pro for a lot of things, mainly geoprocessing. However, even since I got Win10, it crashes when trying to open any windows directory through the program (for instance, when I'm browsing for a SDE connection to connect to). Since I manage a lot of map services, I use ArcMap to author and publish those.

Having the same issue. Ever since we went to 10.5.1 from 10.2.2. Layer properties, even right clicking at times, clicking the File menu, all these things are delayed. Tried deleting profile, mxt, geoprocessing history. Nothing has worked. After upgrading to Windows 10 and doing a clean install, same issue. Seems like a huge bug ESRI needs to release a patch for. Absolutely annihilates productivity.

Ah, that makes perfect sense. I had created a trigger like this on Oracle (and leveraging the SDE_STATE_ID) but I didn't use it on this, which is on MSSQL. I updated the trigger and it seems to have resolved the issue. Thank you very much, Matthew.

Hi Matthew, Thank you so much for this solution. It works great, however, did you run into an error such as this when reconciling? ESRI has a Tech Article on it. I was wondering how you got around it if you experienced this sort of error. Thanks
