JC, We had a similar problem when using our geocoder from WAB apps. It might be helpful with your situation. For example with this app - https://geonb.snb.ca/geonb/ If you type "Cottage Lane" without pressing <enter> into the search bar (top right corner) you will see a drop-down list of condidates appear. New Brunswick has many communities with a street called "Cottage Lane". Selecting an item from this list will zoom you to one of the results but not necessarily the one you selected. However, if you type "Cottage Lane <enter>" into the search bar you will always zoom to the location of the result that you selected. We are running ArcGIS Server 10.7.1 Good luck, Bernie.

Hello, If this only happens the first time the services are accessed each morning the problem could be that all of the services have zero instances running and the server cannot activate an instance before the timeout expires. What are the min and max instance setting for each service? How many Arcsoc.exe are running in Task Manager early in the morning? If all your min instances are set to zero that could be your problem. Try setting min instances to 1 for the most popular services. All idle services will be shut down after 30 minutes (1800 seconds) with the default publishing settings for an image service. UPDATE: I would not recommend publishing all of your image services as shared instances. You should evaluate your services to determine which ones are used most frequently. Those services should use a dedicated instance. The services that are used infrequently can use a shared instance. I use this python script to generate statistics for my maps services. It should also work for image services: Bernie.

Jay, I have not tried this but here is a suggestion. Create a URL for the REST API that will extract all of the records and then embed that URL in the Item Info page of the feature service. This may give you some of the functionality you need. Here is a sample URL for a wilde fire feature service I found on AGOL (contains 115 records): https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/Wildfire/FeatureServer/0/query?where=1%3D1&outfields=*&f=geojson Bernie.

Ryan, I beleive the answer here is Portal. Publish the feature service in Portal then only the named users with access to the feature service in Portal can have access. But they will still be able to consume the feature service in multiple ways with different apps. I don't use Portal so I am really speaking off the cuff. Bernie.

Peter, We publish many map viewers with the AGOL hosted WAB. We take the AGOL URL for the WAB app and iframe it into a bare bones html page that is hosted under our domain name geonb.snb.ca. This allows us to include our Google Analytics code with the WAB app. Have a look at the html source for this page for an example - https://geonb.snb.ca/geonb/index.html. This should work for story maps too. Bernie. GeoNB

That sounds like a networking issue. Couldn't you setup rules on your proxy server to redirect multiple domains to a single ArcGIS Enterprise install? I rely on our network team for stuff like this so I can't provide more detail. Bernie. GeoNB.

Lori, I don't have an answer for why the option for attachments disappears when you change the symbology. But let me tell you what we do when we have attachments or downloads related to a feature. We store the full URL as an attribute for each feature. In a custom pop-up we use html to format the URL attribute as a hyperlink: The yellow highlighted area in the image above shows that we are using an attribute "FILE_URL" to create a hyperlink to download a lidar point cloud file. This link could easily be a PDF or JPG image. The app is public and you can check it out here - http://geonb.snb.ca/li/ I hope this helps with your problem. Bernie.

With AGOL you can publish features services but you cannot publish map services. Map services give you more control over the cartography which in my experience is most important if you need to have greater control over labeling of lines and polygons. Bernie.

Holly, The only reason the tile cache would be larger is if you are creating more tiles. I suspect the raster tile tool was using an oversized x/y extent to estimate the size of the tile cache. Its great that just starting over again fixed the problem. Bernie.

I agree with Scott. If you don't need the features of a multi-user enterprise database such as Oracle or Postgres and you don't need to publish editable feature services I would avoid the complexity. We used Oracle with our first deployment in 2009 but now we almost completely rely on file geodatabases and find them faster and easier to manage than Oracle. However, if you do deploy an enterprise geodatabase it should be on its own server.

The new map viewer is not compatible with older apps like the Web AppBuilder. I believe the WAB is based on JS API 3.x and the new map viewer is based on JS API 4.x. If you have been editing the JSON you may not be able to recover the web app. Bernie.

I don't do much work with imagery but I am quite certain if you create a raster tile cache of your imagery you will get two benefits: your images will display faster the individual image file names will not be available. Have a look at our imagery basemap. We use satellite imagery for the smaller scales and air photos for the larger scales. Our imagery basemap covers approximately 72,000 km2 - https://geonb.snb.ca/arcgis/rest/services/GeoNB_Basemap_Imagery/MapServer. If you don't want to invest the time building a raster tile cache I suspect there may be options when you build your mosaic dataset to hide the individual image file names. Ask Esri support for some guidance. Good luck, Bernie. Good luck,

Jennifer, It's hard to say what is going on but I would use the Developer Tools in Chrome to inspect the query URLs that are being sent to your REST API. This may give you some insight into why you are getting incorrect results. Another thought is to ensure your index keys are unique for this point data set. Good luck, Bernie.
