Have you tried opening the MXDs or projects that was used to publish your services? Can those documents still connect to their data sources? If you still can't find the problem perhaps the solution is to republish your services. How many services do you have?

@wizgis , Have you tried stopping and starting the ArcGIS server machines in the Server Manager? https://<servername>:6443/arcgis/manager/site.html If all of the server names, paths, and db connections are the same between the old and new architecture your services should restart Bernie.

Rémi, This sounds like a job for a Notebook with a scheduled "task". Once you create the python code for the deletion of the layer create a "Task" that will trigger only once to run your script on a specific date. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/create-maps/prepare-a-notebook-for-automated-execution.htm Bernie.

Anghela, If you are building a WAB app you should be using Map Viewer Classic to configure your web map and pop-ups. Alternatively, you could use your web map in an Instant App or Experience Builder. WAB and Map Viewer Classic were built with ArcGIS JavaScript API 3.x. Experience Builder, Instant Apps, and Map Viewer were built with ArcGIS JavaScript API 4.x. Bernie.

What is the best way to quickly preview the results of a REST API query on a map? In the past I have returned the query results as KMZ and viewed the KMZ file in Google Earth or ArcGIS Earth but that can be slow. Is there a simpler way to do this? I am looking for a quick and simple way to get a map preview of my query result. Thanks, Bernie.

It would be great to quickly see the results of a REST API query on a map without leaving the query operation page (https://<server-name>/arcgis/rest/services/<service-name>/MapServer/10/query?where=...). This would preovide visual validation that your query is returning the correct data. Clicking on the "Map Preview" button would load a small, lightweight, JS map viewer with the selected features highlighted on the map or it could load the selected features in ArcGIS Online with a default basemap: Do you think this would be useful? Is there a simpler way to do this? In the past I have returned the query results as KMZ and viewed the result in Google Earth or ArcGIS Earth but that can be slow. Thanks, Bernie.

That was my thought too - these are temporary files. Have you tried to access the same file 1 hour later or 1 day later? Is the file still there or has it been automatically deleted? Bernie.

It looks like @DavidLight found the ArcGIS setting for "no-caching" http headers. I'm surprised Esri Support could not help with that. Bernie.

mindy6, I don't know the details on how to implement this - but I do know you can set the http headers for a website to be "no-caching" to prevent the client browser from storing the info in their local browser cache. I expect this should work for all web content including vector tiles. I hope this gives you more insight into a solution. Bernie.

@AbiDhakal your Web AppBuilder apps will continue to work after Esri ends support for WAB in 2024 and 2025. This fact is clearly stated in the first paragraph of this blog from February 2023 - https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/web-appbuilder/announcements/arcgis-web-appbuilder-roadmap-for-retirement/ I hope this helps. ArcGIS License server uses very few server resources. It could easily be migrated to another VM and not cause any problems. You will have to first de-authorize the licenses on your existing VM and re-authorize the licenses on the other VM. Do some research first - https://t.ly/vivGE

Chris, I am not aware of any method to apply colour or styling to a map service after it is published. The simplest solution is to style the bathymetry in ArcGIS Pro before you publish it. I have rarely consumed WMS services but I beleive it is possible for WMS users to apply their own style to your WMS services. Here is some info on applying an SLD to a WMS service in ArcGIS Desktop. We had a similar problem with a nightly data update script. It worked flawlessly for months but then stopped working in our test environment and a few months later in our production environment. We traced the source of the problem to a change in software for virus scanning. We had to get exceptions to prevent scanning on several folders where our data was being processed. It's probably not the same issue for you but maybe a similar change on your servers. Bernie.

Hello, It is very easy to have a polygon with a NULL attribute field but is it possible to have a polygon feature class and have a feature with NULL geometry? I would like to do this without the complexity of a versioned database or a related table? This would be useful for parcel data when a parcel ID is retired - for example when two adjacent parcels are amalgamated and one or both parcel ID's are retired and replaced by a new parcel ID. Our parcel data is managed by our Land Registry Office. We receive daily copies of the parcel data as a simple polygon featrue class but it only includes all of the active parcel IDs. Many government services reference the parcel ID. It is a problem when someone tries to search our parcel map service with a retired parcel ID. There is no way for our service to indicate the user is searching for a retired parcel ID. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks, Bernie.

Mark, A Dedicated map or feature service will respond better than a shared map service. If there is a lot of activity on the service it should definitely be dedicated. Increasing the instances may help, say min1 and max 4. I recently read that max instances should not be more than number of CPU cores + 1. You should also make sure any attributes that you are searching on are indexed and your related table has the appropriate indices as well. I believe a map service will perform better than a feature service but if you have complex symbology and labelling on the map service it will make the service slower. You should Google and read for some more tips - https://t.ly/dZjV Good luck, Bernie.
