When uploading surveys we get the error "code 1003, Operation rolled back". I found as a possible reason to have multiple geopoints within a repeat but we don't have multiple geopoints and for some surveys it was working well and for others we got the error. I will try to give more information after looking at the surveys where the upload failed. This question is related to https://community.esri.com/thread/183922-download-survey-from-device-after-upload-failed

I thought I had seen this question somewhere before but now I can't find it (neither an answer)... After the upload of a survey failed with the error "code 1003, Operation rolled back", is there any other option to download the data somehow from the device? For the error itself I have this thread: https://community.esri.com/message/638532-error-code-1003

Thank you very much for the link! I will definitely have a look at it. I thought I had tried also the first expression but maybe not. And for the second: Is there a difference between join1 + " = " + "'" + row[0] + "'" and
join1 + " = '" + row[0] + "'"
?

Joshua, you saved my weekend! Would you mind giving a short explanation what this is doing? What are the brackets for?

This is what I'm trying to do: From the targetLayer I pick the value for the PSS_ID attribute, look for the same value in my in_table and retrieve the values for the fields 2 and 3 (row2[1] and row2[2]). I managed to do it with shp-files (and the ID was a string): expression='\"UPI\"=\''+row[0]+'\'' but now I have to apply it on a gdb and I struggle to find the right way to put the sql statement ("expression"). #walk through targetLayer, retrieve the PSS_ID
cursor = arcpy.da.SearchCursor(targetLayer, join1)
for row in cursor:
print(row[0]) #prints the PSS_ID
#walk through joinTable, look for rows that have the same UPI as the targetLayer and retrieve UPI [0], Taxonomy [1] and FAO_CLASSI [2]
Tax_con="" #Variable for adding up the values
in_table=outputJoin #Variable in which table to look for the values
field_name1=join1 #First field name
field_name2=join2 #Second field name
field_name3=join3 #Third field name
expression= '\"'+join1+'='+str(row[0])+'\"' #SQL expression to look for the right row
print expression #prints the expression
#SearchCursor looking for the values corresponding to the requested UPI
cursor2 = arcpy.da.SearchCursor(in_table, [field_name1, field_name2, field_name3],expression)
for row2 in cursor2:
row_text= row2[1]+ row2[2] I looked for example here Specifying a query in Python—ArcPy Get Started | ArcGIS for Desktop and here ArcGIS Desktop and here How To: Use Python to determine the SQL syntax for a WHERE clause depending on the workspace type but I always get the same response: Invalid SQL statement I also tried to put the expression straight to the where_clause position but it didn't seem to make any difference. Here are the version that I tried (output from "print expression"): "PSS_ID=13.0" PSS_ID=13.0 [PSS_ID]=13.0 '"PSS_ID"=13.0' "'PSS_ID'=13.0" 'PSS_ID'=13.0 I tried also the triple quotation marks inside da.SearchCursor like suggested here Specifying a query in Python—ArcPy Get Started | ArcGIS for Desktop (although I don't see why triple quotation marks should be easier to read and to understand 😞 arcpy.da.SearchCursor(in_table, [field_name1, field_name2, field_name3],""""PSS_ID"=13.0""") It would be great if someone could assist me on this - I've already spent so much time on looking for the right answer

Is there somewhere an archive of previous versions of the app and Survey123Connect? We urgently need to extract the coordinates from the geopoint field which was working well in previous releases (unfortunately I can't tell when that changed) but does not work now any longer. Any hints?

Hey Anthony, So you want the geopoint from your survey to look for the village in the basemap and retrieve the total number of homesteads, is that correct? I'm afraid that is not possible with Survey123.

I just experienced the same. I was expecting to get at least "something" when putting the result from the geopoint field into a note but not "nothing". My client is very disappointed that his approach is not working any more. He also used the substr method. Of course it would be much easier if we could just use x, y, z instead of substrings... Would be great if you could provide a solution soon.

I created an app that uses the Enhanced Search Widget and the Enhanced Basemap Gallery for example. If I could add the Reporter functionallity it would be perfect.

Why is the "Include all" button not doing anything then? Thanks for the link to the help - I couldn't find it anymore. I was already guessing that it's only working when the app in online.

Hi Robert, our client is already very happy with his application! 🙂 I still have some more issues, sorry: - I have about 50 attributes for which I would like to show the values for in my popup. But unfortunately the "include all" button doesn't seem to do anything, instead I have to select each attribute separately and click "include". Is there a limit for attributes that can be included? - What is the "Export Search URL" supposed to do?

Thanks a lot Robert! I didn’t think that far that the values still have to be retrieved to be shown… You are really a great support!

One more issue with my popups now: It’s a very strange behavior… Although the popups are now showing (on the first sight) as the ones defined in the web map, there is a small but fine difference: The result popup does not show all attribute values while the normal popup does. You can see that behavior (hopefully) when you select for example all parcels bigger than 300 hectare, then click on one of the results from the list and then examine the popup: The sqm and acre size values are missing. When you click now with the mouse on this parcel you get first the selections operational layer info, then probably a district and then the one from the parcel itself – there you will see the sizes in sqm and acre. And another funny thing: When I disable the operational layer, then the default popups come again, not the ones from the web map when clicking on the result list.
