Thank you. Will do. If I remove the geopoint question from the survey, the point displayed on the map from my survey is not my current location. I do have location services on my iPhone when collecting survey info.

I've tried both hide-input and compact appearance type for geopoint field in my survey. Neither of which change the appearance on the survey. The map is still displayed. I am hard coding the lat/long from a site number the user selects which gives me the correct location on the map. They don't need to see the map and I'm trying to make the survey as short as possible for use on a smartphone.

I tried that but it doesn't work. This is the error I get when trying to set bind::type=dateTime "This value doesn't match the data validation restrictions defined for this cell"

If I use type=dateTime and default=now() in my survey I get date/time showing up in feature layer like this: I want to hide it on the survey but still save in feature layer to work with in Operations Dashboard. If I change type = hidden and keep default=now(), the Date/Time shows: I've tried putting fields in the these fields on the form but can't get anything to work. Any update on this? I have iPhone. 1 survey that displays the thumbnail, 1 survey doesn't. Trying deleting app and re-installing, didn't work. Thought it had to do with storing .jpg or .png file as thumbnail. Should I be using one format or the other?

I have several questions in my survey which require a specific answer to proceed to additional questions. The logic to display or not display additional questions is working but the survey can be submitted if the answer is incorrect. Is there a way to keep the user on this question until the correct answer is entered or not allow the survey to be submitted? In my survey for example, the user must scan a barcode and if it doesn't match the barcode on the supply box, they have to get the right supply box and scan correctly before proceeding to the next question to get a signature and submit the survey. Currently the user can scan the wrong box and submit the survey.

Thanks James. I'm not looking up a unique value - isn't that what pulldata is used for? In my survey, there is a 1 to many relationship between the situation that requires an auth code and the valid responses/auth codes. For example, in my survey, if someone shows up to pickup supplies and the pulldata function returns info on that user that they have not attended training, the survey user has to call in to see if the user has attended training and enter an auth code. If HQ says they attended training they will give the survey user 1 of 20 possible uth codes that would be valid in order to proceed with the survey. How do I check that the auth code exists in that list of 20? If it's the pulldata function, I'm not sure how to do this?

I have 2 situations in a survey where the user has to call in for an authorization code in order to proceed. Each situation has a list of valid auth codes (attached). How can I make sure that the user has entered a valid auth code? javascript? Help?

Thanks, James. The barcode check logic is VERY simple. When the barcode is parsed, the only thing displayed on the form is a sequence number that is printed on all the supplies that the user is supposed to verify before distributing the supplies. If that number is incorrect, the survey user wanted the value that is displayed on the screen to be bold red or highlighted in some fashion. I know there are things like <font color="red"><b>[insert text here]<b></font> that can be used in the label column to change the style but I don't see information how to change the font, color, etc of input either calculated to display or input from the user that is displayed, But thinking about that, it makes more sense to display the CORRECT sequence number that is parsed from the barcode in bold because that's the number the user should be searching for on the supplies. I did that as a note and that works fine. Are you saying that information either entered by the survey user or calculated to display on the form CAN be styled with different fonts, colors, etc? Where do I find information about that?

I am parsing a barcode and want to display the information in different bold colors to have info for the survey user to easily see and validate. Is this possible? I know how to style the label field in the survey but is it possible to style input or output of a name field? For example, if a barcode is scanned and it doesn't match what is expected, the survey user would like to see the incorrect barcode value in bold red or highlighted. Thanks

I have a polygon layer and 3 zones (from a central point). Zone 1 is 15 miles away, zone 2 is 25 miles away, zone 3 is anything greater than 25 miles. I need to generate a list of polygon id's with the zone they reside in. Some polygons reside in 2 zones but I only want to assign to 1 zone. Need help with the tools/process to use to accomplish this. I created the 3 buffers and overlay of the polygon layer but some polygons reside in multiple zones. How to resolve that and just place the polygon in the buffer contains the largest area of the polygon? Thanks for your help.

I am using select_one that returns a string containing a number (unknown number of digits) followed by a '-' followed by a text string. How do I use substr to parse out the number before the '-'. It can be any number between 1 and 999. For example "10-Lincoln Center Parkway" I just want to use the number 10 in pulldata call to look up additional information. Thanks

Novice in python. Have tried several expressions but can't seem to strip the words 'Branch' and/or 'Library' from a field of names...some names are "[name of city] Branch Library" and others are "[name of city] Library". I don't want my labels to show either of these on the map because it looks too busy. Some of the city names contain the string "Ranch" so those were also getting stripped - for example if the name is "Weston Ranch Branch Library" I only want the label to be "Weston Ranch" or if the name was "Weston Library" only display "Weston." Thanks.
