We have an enterprise GIS and have multiple maps on ArcGIS Online. The Servicemen will collect a point, add remarks and date and make the status "Field Review." If a location has a status of "Field Review" it shows up on the supervisors map. If the status changes to "Crew" or "Office Review" the location then shows up on those maps accordingly based on pre-set queries. There is one master map that shows all the status types: Inspections are a work in progress and each year we do a lessons learned and make changes before the new year starts.

We are on 10.6.0 (see configuration settings below). We are seeing this on multiple browsers (IE and Chrome). The Survey was created/published via Survey123 Connect. I do not see a _stakeholder view version in item details. When I hit save I get "Failed to save," although it does give me a link, which still doesn't work. {"error":{"code":400,"message":"Unable to update feature service definition.","details":["Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.","Object reference not set to an instance of an object."]}}

Has there been an update to this question from Esri? We are also a small utility and use ArcGIS Enterprise. The only reason we would implement Portal is the utility network, but maintaining a Portal is daunting due to our limited resources. Is the utility network without Portal in Esri's plan?

I have a survey based on a feature class in a enterprise database. Users can add to the survey with no problems but none of my viewers can see the data using Survey123 "Data." They get the following error: The collaborate tab says that viewers can see "All records in this survey." Why is it that I (who published the survey) can see the data, but no one else can? It is shared with everyone in ArcGIS Online and in Survey123. I see the following on ESRI's site, but we are on version 10.6 so was this never changed? I get thI get "Feature layer views aren't supported for federated feature services and aren't available in ArcGIS Enterprise hosted services before version 10.6." I called ESRI and got the following response: "Seems like the only way to allow for edits from survey123.arcgis.com is to use a hosted feature service from ArcGIS online." This just seems odd as I can edit the survey, but others can't (unless they are adding a new record). Any insight would be appreciated.

I would like to edit a survey created on the Survey123 website in Survey123 Connect. Every time I select: I get this error: What am I missing? Is there any other way to get the survey here? It was originally created by another user using the Survey123 website and never published. I transferred ownership and would like to edit it in Survey123 Connect. Thanks, Adelaide

I also agree with this. I was disappointed to see that although it shows up as a download in MyEsri it requires additional license. What a pain.

Modify the existing "Subdivide Polygon" geoprocessing tool OR update the Modify Features "Divide" tool so that a user can divide by "Proportional Area" for more than one polygon at a time. There is a selection pane (see below), but it's useless as you can only select one feature at a time for the "Proportional Area" option. Please enable multiple feature selection in the "Divide" tool OR add "Proportional Area" to the "Subdivide Polygon" tool so it can be run in batch.

Hi, The divide tool using the settings shown below does what I need, problem is, I have so many polygons that doing them individually would be time consuming. Unfortunately the tool only lets me select one polygon at a time. Is there a way to do this for multiple polygons at the same time? The "Subdivide Polygon" geoprocessing tool does not have the "Proportional Area" option. Thanks, Adelaide

When I run my script in the Python window in ArcGIS Pro 2.3.2 all changes are made in the version specified. When I run the same script as a geoprocessing tool all changes are made to DEFAULT. Is it possible to create a geoprocessing tool that changes the version and edits within that version? import arcpy
import glob
workOrder = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0)
# Create version
arcpy.CreateVersion_management("C:/Users/azumwalt.UECOOP/AppData/Roaming/ESRI/Desktop10.4/ArcCatalog/ElectricModel - azumwalt.sde", "DEFAULT", workOrder+"_TEST", "PUBLIC")
arcpy.ChangeVersion_management("Consumer_SQL02", 'TRANSACTIONAL', "DBO."+workOrder+"_TEST", None)

Thanks for your response Hilary. I should clarify that we have enterprise, but we have not implemented Portal. So any publishing we do has to do from ArcMap until 2.4 comes out. But yes, it still requires republishing, then I have to add the data to my content using a different username/password (security), then add it to the map and configure pop-ups, labeling etc. when creating a layer view would just be so much simpler. And like Shelby said, allowing others to create views would be really nice without them needing ArcMap.

Hi Hilary, To answer your question: You would prefer to publish a view from your portal rather than from Desktop? Yes. As most contractors are "users" of the data, it appears, unless I'm missing something, that they can easily go into the map, access the original data, and/or change the filters. I need certain fields to be gone (and not just hidden from view where they could easily change a filter and access them). This would be easy to do if I could simply create a view instead of republishing from Desktop. Please let me know if I'm missing something. Thanks, Adelaide
