I'm following up to see if anyone had success with integrating a custom GP Print Task, incl. customized scaling. We've encountered the same problems, including the 'scale larger than...' issue but haven't had any luck thus far. Thanks.

You'd have to record/input into a field the area for each polygon in your dataset manually but WAB has a Measurement tool that'll allow for you to select Acres or Sq. Ft.

Eninna, Are you publishing your layers and bringing them into AGOL as feature services? Feature service publishing does not allow for or honor groupings.

Patrick, See here: Organize layers—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS It appears to be the default structure for feature services/lyrs to always draw on top of map services. Best to lodge an enhancement request with ESRI.

Thomas, Please check out the following discussion for information on a repo intended to add 508-compliant elements to Web App Builder. You'll need the Developer's Edition for WAB. LocalLayerWidget and AccessifizrWidget

Larry, I do not know of a widget that's been developed to mimic the Report Writer's functionality. Here's a similar discussion that you may or may not have seen: (Re: Web App Builder reporting widget ) Take away seems to be that for now a GP Service in WAB is the best option to mimic the Report Writer.

I'm trying to import Print+ into 1.3 but am not seeing it recognized once I attempt to create an app. I've edited the manifest.json to 1.3. What other .js modifications am I missing to get this tool to work with an updated version? Update: Figured out my issue. So just confirming that Larry's Print+ widget works with 1.3.

Hi Mike, I'm assuming that you're using AGOL to host your data. Based on this link (About hosted web layers—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS ) it seems that hosted AGOL content doesn't honor definition queries when publishing data so any date filter you may apply in Desktop would be ignored once published. And based on my limited testing I don't think that the layer filter listed in an AGOL web map supports the type of filter (e.g. only show 'Today' that you're looking for). Someone would have to update the web map regularly. If you're using hosted layers the following link may provide some solution ideas via ArcPy as it comes to updating your services on a scheduled basis: Updating ArcGIS.com Hosted Feature Services with Python | ArcGIS Blog

Robert, You were correct. It was a timing issue. Once we adjusted for that the issue was resolved. Much appreciated!

Andy, Thanks for your response. I should've included in my original post that we're calling map.centerAt(pt) earlier in our script but we'll look at centerAndZoom as a workaround if we're unable to determine a cause. Seth

Our app returns a graphic point based on an address search. And we've encountered inconsistent behavior when it comes to the map centering on results. Some addresses will return the graphic pt placed in the center of the map as intended: While other addresses will return the graphic pt in the top left or right of the resulting extent: And other address searches will center the map on an area where the graphic point isn't showing at all (though it's still returned to the map as evidenced by the user zooming out or panning). After the graphic pt is called we have our zoom function: function zoomToPlaces(places) {
var multiPoint = new Multipoint(map.spatialReference);
for (var i = 0; i < places.length; i++) {
//multiPoint.addPoint(places.location);
multiPoint.addPoint(places.feature.geometry);
}
map.setExtent(multiPoint.getExtent().expand(2.0));
} Would having the expand factor set at 2 be a possible cause of this behavior? Has anyone encountered this issue before? Message was edited by: Seth Lewis

Kerry, I looked around and came across this thread: Offline multiple layers From looking at Warren's posts from May it would seem that if one is using two feature classes with relationships to the same table then the fcs may need to be published as separate Feature Services to get around the error message/limitation.

Shawna, Are your data being hosted in AGOL? Or are you publishing via ArcGIS Server? If it's the former then I'm not aware of a method whereby you can restrict editing to certain parties in an ArcGIS Online webmap if the webmap is publicly shared. If you're using ArcGIS Server then you could publish two services, one secured and capable of having its features edited and one available to the public with only Query capabilities.
