Sorry, I forgot to mention that this is strictly a problem with Field Maps. We don’t have an Indoors subscription. This is not an issue in web maps. The layers show up fine in AGOL.

Here is the high school. I can see the first floor for a second, and then it disappears. Even after choosing different floors and toggling the layers on and off, I still can't see the floor plans. And the elementary school. The first floor plans are visible as soon as I navigate to the site.

I have a Field Maps app utilizing the Indoors model for site floor plans. When I zoom to some of my sites in Field Maps, I can see my units layer for a second, and then it disappears. Even when I choose a different floor from the floor picker, I still can't see the floor plans. I've tried toggling the units layer on and off, and it doesn't help. This seems to be happening more often with larger sites with many more units. Smaller sites show up and don't disappear.

I set up the floor picker in my Field Maps app using the Indoors model. I'm having an issue with the VERTICAL_ORDER field. According to the Indoors documentation: The problem is, when I navigate to a site, the first floor plan level I see is the lowest in the vertical order. For instance, I see lower level 1 (vertical order -1) instead of the ground floor (vertical order 0). This is not practical for field workers who will be entering sites on the ground floor, more often than not. In addition to this, I ONLY see the lowest level in the floor picker. I have to click "L1" in the screenshot above before the other floors buttons are revealed. This will add extra confusion for field workers if they're only seeing the basement floor plan when they walk in the front door of the site. I've made a workaround for this by assigning positive numbers to the lower levels that are greater than the highest above ground floors. So vertical order -1 becomes 3, vertical order -2 becomes 4, etc. But this also puts the floors out of order in the floor picker, because I'm seeing the highest numbers first, and the ground floor is at the bottom. I'd like to propose that the vertical order field default to 0, or have some way to edit the vertical order of the floor picker buttons in the web map or app. I also think that all relevant floors should be shown initially on the floor picker, not just the lowest vertical order floor.

I found a solution to this issue. Instead of setting the lower floors with negative numbers, I made them positive. We only have a few facilities that have a 3rd floor (vertical_order 2) so level -1 becomes vertical_order 3, level -2 becomes vertical_order 4, etc. So now the default floor plan that comes up in Field Maps is the ground floor, vertical_order 0. But this also puts the floors out of order in the floor picker, because I'm seeing the highest numbers first, and the ground floor is at the bottom.

I am using the Indoors model with floor plans for a Field Maps app. I've set up my facilities, levels and units layers with the relevant Indoors fields. I'm having trouble with the vertical order in my levels. When I hover over a site in Field Maps, I see only the lowest level, not the ground level. And I only see the lowest level in the floor picker. I have to click on it to reveal the other floors. This is going to be a problem for field workers locating themselves when they enter the ground floors of buildings. Is this by design, or is it an issue with Field Maps in particular?

OK. I added the VERTICAL_ORDER field and calculated values from -3 to 2 with 0 as the ground floor. This had no effect. I'm still seeing L1, instead of 1. I've attached a screenshot with the levels layer fields.

One last question. The first floor displayed on the picker: is it based on alphabetical order? In the case of the screenshots below, 'L1' is lower level 1. This is the first thing I see when I hover over this site. I would rather see '1' for the first floor. Should I change it to "F1" so it's ahead of "L1?"

So I have three layers now, Units, Levels and Facilities. Units has LEVEL_ID and FACILITY_ID fields. Levels has LEVEL_ID, FACILITY_ID and SHORT_NAME fields. Facilities has the FACILITY_ID field. When I open Field Maps, I can see the floor picker displayed, and there are the appropriate number of picker buttons to floors at a given site. It's only showing the floor plan for one floor, which is what I expect. I can click the buttons and cycle through the different floorplans. The problem is that the SHORT_NAME is not displaying, so the floor picker buttons are just blank.

I got the floor picker to work by adding "FACILITY_ID" to the Levels and Facilities layers and publishing them together as a single map service. The problem I'm having now is that I'm seeing a floor choice for every single room from my Levels layer. So a big list of floor 1s, 2s, etc. Do I need to add a Floors footprint layer as well?? I'll need your AGOL username to share the web map with you.
