Could you fix the link? It seems it didn't transfer from the old forums. Steven

This may seem like a dumb question, but I have admin access to our AGOL account. Where do I see how many users I can create? I think I have found it but a couple months ago it said a different total number of users which is why I am confused. Did Advanced Enterprise get more licenses with the release of ArcGIS Pro?

I didn't have a chance to dive into real deep. Once I upgraded to the Pre-Release 1.0 version, it closes immediately after signing in. I figured I would wait until the official release before I started diving into it.

Glad to hear you got it up and running! It is different and takes some getting use to. Of course I was trying to learn it by playing around so it took me a bit longer to learn rather than using the help guides and tutorials. Steven

Add in the Select by Attributes Model. This will let you make the Query Builder a parameter which when you select a field, click Get Unique Values and it will list all the values for that field. You don't need to use python. Steven

You can only apply permissions to the data that the logged in user owns. For instance: If there is a feature dataset call MyDb."marco".featureclass1, only the user marco can apply permissions. Steven

If you're not familiar with JavaScript, here is a free online book: Eloquent JavaScript It doesn't cover Dojo, but it may be a good place to start with the JS language. Here are a bunch of lectures on JavaScript: Crockford on JavaScript: A Public Lecture Series at Yahoo! Codecademy has some JavaScript and HTML tutorials: Learn to code | Codecademy The only updated Dojo tutorials I have found are here, created by the Dojo Community: Documentation - The Dojo Toolkit Here's a short book on HTML5: Dive Into HTML5 This is always my go to when I want to start learning something new: W3Schools Online Web Tutorials Steven

My workflow is pretty simple, 1st. Create the Active Directory user. 2nd. Add the user to the database through SQL Mgmt Studio. 3rd. Add the user to the Ent GDB through ArcCatalog. 4th. Add permissions to either Feature Datasets or Feature Classes. Keep in mind that you can't create a geodatabase user for an entire windows group. ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2) Hope this helps in your migration. Steven

You shouldn't have to grant them any permissions inside SQL Server, just add them to the database. Once they are added to the database, you can grant them permissions on only data you own inside ArcCatalog. Steven

I'm part of an organizational account so things work a little differently. According to the links ESRI sent you, you should have access to ArcGIS Online Organization Subscription. Here is an excerpt from one of the links above: Every eligible ArcGIS for Desktop license receives one Named User account. You’ll be asked to choose whether you want your ArcGIS for Desktop License Entitlements applied to an ArcGIS Online Organization Plan account or Portal for ArcGIS instance. Were you ever asked if you want your license applied to ArcGIS Online? I'm sure your local agent will be able to help you get this set up if you haven't done it yet. At the bottom of this link there is an email and phone number to help you set up your ArcGIS Online entitlement. ArcGIS Online Entitlements Steven

I'm not entirely sure what your subscription covers. That would be a question for ESRI ESRIor stored some where in your customer care portal. Here is the ArcGIS Online main sign in page https://www.arcgis.com/home/ This is a separate log in from your ESRI Global Account. Steven

That doesn't look like ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Portal. That looks more like the customer care portal. You need to have an ArcGIS Online account or have ArcGIS Portal installed to access ArcGIS Pro. Here is some documentation on Pro. Overview—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS for Professionals Hope this helps. Steven

You need to go to ArcGIS Online and assign authorization. Once you log in to your ArcGIS Online account, click My Organization, then click Manage Licenses and assign Pro there. Steven
