Response from Esri Support: This is actually a logged defect with map services. [BUG-000082994 The unchecked sublayers within a group layer show up in Explorer for ArcGIS on (iOS) when working with a map service.] The workaround being exactly what you've been doing by going and manually turning a layer on/off to force the correct layers to be shown. And a follow up about a potential fix in a newer version: According to the bug details, it seems to be specific to map services use in Explorer. As in other service types are reported to have the same issue. It is currently assigned (meaning Development is looking into it) but there is not a planned fix at this time. Since it is attached to the case, the status can be monitored in My Support so if there is a fix in a future release, the status will be updated. Here is a link to the bug report: BUG-000082994 - The unchecked sublayers within a group layer show ..

Where can I download an older version of Web AppBuilder Developer Edition? We are using WAB DE 1.2, but we would like to locate an older version. Where can we find these downloads?

I saw a similar post about Collector, but my issue is with Explorer. I'm working with a web map with multiple services, and each of these services has layers and layer groups. In the web map, we have turned off each individual layer that we do not want displayed and saved the map. In the Explorer app, a handful of these layers (turned off in the web map) are still displayed on the map. When we open the Map Layers, we see that it honors the web map layers displayed, they are turned off. However, the features are still displayed on the map. If I turn one of the layers on then it will stay displayed on the map but the other layers displayed (that aren't supposed to) suddenly disappear. So, to summarize. Explorer app Map Layers widget (is it called a widget?) honors the layer visibility check boxes. Same layers are checked as in the web map. Explorer app map does not honor layer visibility from the web map upon startup. In Explorer, turning any layer (within a service) on or off corrects what is displayed on the map. The web map uses two services that have many layers, sublayers, and even a sub-sublayer. Could this be the source of the issue? There's just too much in the web map? Thanks much! I've been very happy with the quick turnaround of GeoNet responses lately. You guys are all great!

We created a Web AppBuilder web app to show utility data, and it has the My Location (GPS) button enabled for field users to find the features they're standing on easily. When using the My Location button on an iPad or iPhone device, the GPS location is found for a brief moment but then the page reloads with an error. In Safari, the error is A problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded. In Chrome, the error is Aww, Snap! Something went wrong while displaying this webpage. If you're seeing this frequently, try these suggestions. (I tried the suggestions, but they had no effect). We experience no issues when finding My Location using the Explorer app to view the web map (not the WAB app) on iPad/iPhone. I do not experience any of the above issues when I access the WAB app from my Android phone, and the web map works in Explorer as well. We also do not experience problems when using My Location button when viewing the WAB app in a desktop web browser. Is there a fixable issue with the WAB My Location button for use on iPad/iPhone devices? Is this a device issue? Could it be a device browser issue? What can be done? Thank you much! Kyle

A user has published an annotation map service, created an item for it in AGO and shared it with the Open Data designated group. However, this service/layer does not appear in the Open Data site. Does ArcGIS Open Data support annotation map services?

Another change I forgot to mention was that we would like to use a different symbol on the map. I haven't found a place to change that yet without downloading and self-hosting.

Thank you for the compliment. It was fun getting to write in some colors and text styles! The changes we would like to make are not major. The most significant change would be removing the numbers from the item thumbnails in the carousel at the bottom of the page. I have not found a place to change this when creating it in ArcGIS Online. It's a minor change, but it is one that we would like to make.

What a GREAT widget, Robert! This widget as it is will really help us get much closer to achieving what we want to do for an app. My question is regarding popup information for intersecting features. If you're familiar with the ArcGIS Information Lookup template, it displays the popup information in the panel for each layer that intersects the user's selected point. Can this ability be easily configured or written into the widget, and if so, would you mind describing how to do this? Thank you, Robert, and Happy New Year!

Thank you for going through this. These are the steps I have been following as well. This really helps though because it indicates that there is another issue to be resolved. I will attempt the proxy option Aravind listed below and repost on Monday.

It seems that others have posted here of similar issues: downloading the Story Map Tour template, updating the webmapid and experiencing the map tour getting stuck "loading" in the web browser. Unfortunately, none of the articles or answers I've found so far have been able to help. I created a Story Map Tour in ArcGIS Online, and in the builder I created the point locations and uploaded images/thumbnails, added descriptions etc. This created the web map for me. I downloaded the Story Map Tour template and updated the webmapid in the index.html file with the web map's id but the Story Map Tour will not move beyond the loading screen. I checked for errors here (My Stories | Story Maps ) but there are no errors. This is the web map: http://pwa.maps.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=77a28174b7e047928f9f19f19da5fe52 This is the URL to the downloaded Story Map Tour we are hosting: http://ec2-52-7-234-52.compute-1.amazonaws.com/apps/MapTour/ I certainly appreciate any help that can be offered. It will be really nice to take our story even further! Thanks much, and Happy New Year!

We have managed to symbolize features based on related record field values when we set up the service. Perhaps this will offer a little hope, This is done by setting up definition queries on map document layers.
