Is there any news about this topic? I also have the same question as the original poster. Thanks! Allen

Hi there, My organization has created a Survey123 survey that collects multiple geopoints (they are within repeats, except for the first one). Is there a way to show not only the main geopoint in the map view of the Inbox, but also the geopoints from one of the repeats? Our main geopoints are for homeless camp locations. The additional ones we'd like to have on the Inbox map are access points for these camps, so that users can find the trailhead--so to speak--for the camp that they are doing a follow-up visit for, if the camp is difficult to access. Thanks! Allen

Do you know if this student rate will be available for the 2020 UC? Thanks!

Thanks for your reply, James. We have not dealt with changing the table name at this point. But, upon further testing, we discovered that the default answer was indeed working, within the repeat, but only for instances of the repeat other than the first instance, i.e. the default did not show up in the first instance of the repeat, which was already open when the user began a survey. So we think that if we set the repeat's appearance to minimal, so that the repeat is not open when the user begins a survey, the default will probably work for all instances of the repeat. Weird! Do you know the reason for this behavior? Thank you! Allen

Hi Scott Prindle, I would like to configure a feature search, like what is outlined in the "Configure Feature Search" page you linked to, but I would like to allow users (in Operations Dashboard) to search features that are in a related table that does not have geopoints. Only layers with geopoints are available in the list of choices for configuring a feature search in a web map. My web map and dashboard basically show locations/points where people are, and the data is collected through Survey123. The geopoints are in the main part of the survey, but the people's names are in a "repeat" question in the survey, so the names go into a related table. My goal is to allow dashboard viewers to search by typing in part or all of a person's name and then to see where the person is on the map (or to at least filter a list widget on the dashboard). Do you know if there's any way to make this work? Thank you!

Hi, not sure if this would help with your particular situation, but just in case, something related has been discussed here: https://community.esri.com/thread/207634-category-selector-like and there are a couple workarounds.

I would like to see a search tool that would allow related tables without geopoints to be searched, so users can see the point on the map that is associated with a record in the related table. I configured a "by layer" search, in the web map's Settings page (via the item details page, not the map viewer page), for one search I wanted to have available to users, but the other search I need to make available involves a related table that has no geopoints (it is related to geopoints in the main table), so there was no way of connecting that table to the search tool. Example: My dashboard is showing places (points) and there are people's names associated with each point (basically residents who live in a certain place). The names are in a related table instead of the main table because all the data is obtained via Survey123, and the people's names are entered in to a "repeat" question. My goal is to have some kind of search tool so that dashboard viewers can type in a person's name in order to find them on the map.

Thank you, Phil! I tried out what you suggested - modifying the .info file while Connect was closed. It worked more than before, but not completely: My custom basemap name appeared in the list of basemaps (in the form preview in Connect), but the survey style/color and default map location were erased. Also, my custom basemap did not show up in the map viewer, even though the name was in the basemap list, but this is probably not Survey123's fault; my supervisor was told by Pictometry (the company that made the imagery basemap I want to use) that their imagery can't be connected to Survey123. Thanks for the EAC link - sounds like cool stuff is in the works. We are going to put off dealing with this custom basemap issue till sometime in the future, since there seems to be an issue on our imagery supplier's end, as I mentioned. Thanks again! Allen

My organization is currently configuring a survey, using Survey123 Connect, that is based on a feature service hosted in our Enterprise database. We have been cleaning up the Excel form that was generated when we used the feature service to create the survey (fyi, we already created a version of the survey that worked perfectly, using ArcGIS Online rather than a feature service, so we know the survey settings should work. Now we just have to get it to work with our Enterprise database). Just about everything is working great, except the problem is that default answers (question type select_one) within a repeat are not working. Why is this? We manually entered default values in the feature service within ArcCatalog and also checked that the defaults were entered correctly on the Excel spreadsheet. Default values for the same type of question (select_one) are working fine in other parts of the survey, parts that are not in a repeat. We also checked that the "name" in column B was correct. Turns out that the default values within the repeat work when the name of the repeat is changed back to its more plain name, without the database prefix that was automatically added when the feature service generated the survey. But if the database prefix is taken away, the data does not go into the table in the database. Any ideas?? Thanks!

I wrote code to create a horizontal line, using the <hr> tag, among some text on my Hub site. The line showed up fine while I was in configuration mode, but as soon as I exited configuration/editing mode for that row, the line no longer showed up. It disappeared. But when I clicked the gear icon to get back into configuration mode, the line displayed once again, and my code was still there. What is going on? How can I get the line to stay visible after I exit configuration mode? Here is my code for the line: <hr style="border: 3px solid #e97c59; width: 70%;"> Thank you!

UPDATE for anyone who has the same question I did: I found out that it is not currently possible to add a Pictometry/Eagleview imagery basemap to Survey123. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL POST: I need to add my organization's aerial imagery basemap to a survey I created using Survey123 Connect, but I'm running into problems--my changes to the .info file totally disappear when I re-publish the survey. I already read a couple of GeoNet threads about this, plus this Esri page: Prepare basemaps for offline use—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS and this one: Include a map in your survey—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS The .info file associated with my survey seems a little different from the sample on the above webpages, in that mine includes a line about the default map (I want my default to be World Topography, but I want my own aerial imagery to be an option that the users can select when using the survey). So I had to make a wild guess about where to place my "mapTypes" section. Maybe this is part of the problem? Here is my .info file with my custom basemap added into it. I checked the syntax online with JSONLint, which was very helpful. Nothing in my survey/settings "breaks" when I try to use this .info, but the problem is that my desired basemap is not added in any way at all, and when I go to check on the .info file after re-publishing my survey, the .info file has gone back to how it was before I added my custom basemap! The stuff I added simply disappears (the "mapTypes" section). How do I get it to stick?? (Note: my URL is complete; it appears incomplete below due to where my screenshot cut it off.)

Thanks, Doug! I'd never heard of right-click Paste Values, so that's good to know. In the meantime, I also discovered that certain rows, I guess ones where I had not copy/pasted incorrectly, did allow me to select a value from the dropdown. Then I could copy this value that I chose from the dropdown and paste it into one of the rows/cells where I had unsuccessfully tried to enter the value before. I imagine this connects to the issues you posted about. Thanks! --Allen
