Are you on pro? https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/environment-settings/transfer-domain-descriptions.htm There is also this in ArcMap 10.6.1 Looks like it is for dxf files but once you get to this format you could then go to csv. Lastly, FME does a nice job with this sort of problem. If you have access to that I would use it first.

My, guess is this. Because they GlobalID field is system managed it will not let you insert a value into it. It would be like you trying to create your own object ID's. It is just not something you can do. So, remove the field from your insert or create a target field of type GUID.

So, GlobalIDs are managed by the system so you should not be trying to insert them. If you want to move them around you can use @Anonymous User method to preserve global ID's. Or if you like you can add a new field of data type GUID and then insert ID's in there. Of, course if you do so the new GUID field will no longer be managed by the system - it will be on you to keep it updated.

My favorite pattern for this sort of stuff is to use a cvs file with named tuples. That way you can mange the paths in Excel. And you can get access to the "csv fields" with a dot operator within your python code. python from collections import namedtuple
import csv
with open('features.csv') as features:
reader = csv.DictReader(features)
Data = namedtuple('Data', reader.fieldnames)
feature_paths = [Data(**x) for x in reader]
for feature_path in feature_paths:
print feature_path.source
print feature_path.target csv file source,target
source_path_1,target_path_1
source_path_2,target_path_2
source_path_3,target_path_3

Thanks Scott, It is normal feature servers from AGS. It is not a hosted feature layer. I have feature access turned on but I don't see the same options that you have.

You can zip your lists to get around that error: source = ['x', 'y', 'z']
target = ['a', 'b', 'c']
for a, b in zip(source, target):
print a
print b

I want to create a web map that can be used offline in Field Maps, but I am having a hard time getting things setup. I cannot find the enable sync option for my published feature service in server manger. https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/use/take-maps-offline.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_C0331D55CAE14D4FAB1B54354A9246F2 Where can I find this option? 1. please insert you code as a code sample rather then a screenshot 2. Is your code throwing an error? 3. I can make some suggestions right off bat. I think I would used a dictionary or a tuple for the target and source information. Not two lists. so: # tuple
my_tuple_list = [(target_1, source_1), (target_2, source_2)... ...(target_n, source_n)]
# dict
my_dict = {target_1: source_1, target_2: source_2... ...target_n: source_n} I would also suggest using os.path.join for creating paths not string concatenation with "+" https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/python-os-path-join-method/

Yes, I do that as well. But that uses the version system. So, it will add more rows the the delta tables that then must be compressed away (you hope).

We have a large number of versions (I know it is bad -- but it is out of my control). So, I hate to put extra stress on the versioning system. I have a large number of attribute updates that are needed. I am hesitant to do this through the Esri version system. In the past we have gotten around this by updating base table and the "A" table (delta table) with pure sql. For example, say I have a versioned FC called my_fc and it has an "A "table called A100. I want to update the field, my_field, in the FC. So, we write a sql statement to update my_field in the base table and the "A" table to the new value. It has worked good and we have never noticed any issues. But, it is an out of the box solution. So, I am wondering if anyone else has any experience with this technique.

I have a domain that appears to be working okay overall. But when I Identify a feature it only shows the code not the description. But the description is displaying in the attribute table for the same feature. Other domains appear to be working correctly within the Identify tool. Has anyone seen this one before?
