I am exporting a Create Composite Locator model to python scrip but is not following the parameters set for the Field Mapping. The default field mapping settings are Street, City, State, and ZIP. I want to change them for Address, City, Region, and Postal. It works perfectly when executed from the canvas or dialog but it does not when executed from IDLE.

Are you talking about the REST API? Find does restrict results only for the USA when you pass in sourceCountry. Currently the suggest API doesn't support sourceCountry as a parameter so it will not restrict suggestions when passing in sourceCountry. Suggest doc: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/arcgis-rest-api/#/Working_with_suggestions/02r300000238000000/ Find doc: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/arcgis-rest-api/#/Single_input_field_geocoding/02r300000015000000/ As you can see, the parameter exists on the Find method but not the Suggest method. Brad Thanks for the information. Just to be clear... the source Country will only work on Find and not Suggest. Does that means if I set source country equals to USA, when a user types down an address, addresses outside the USA will still show as suggested addresses but if they are selected they won??t geocode?

Can you give an example of what you are doing and what you are getting? Brad The goal is to limit only USA (or any country established by using the source country code) suggested addresses. When search for an address, other addresses outside the USA should not be included as suggestions or geocoded.

The World Geocoding Service has the "sourceCountry" parameter. I have been using the World Geocoding Service using this parameter and it does not seem to respect the USA source country code, or any other. Is this a known issue? Is there a bug?

I am using the JS API and binding a function to the map???s ???click??? event. The coordinates generated by the mapPoint which is part of the event arguments that is then passed to the function is not the exact point that was clicked but is off by a fixed amount and seems to change based on zoom level. More detail on this issue: A user geocodes and address. The geocoder returns the location. I allow the user to modify the graphic point (location) obtained by the geocode output. Example, the geocode output was in the street but the user wants to place the point in its rooftop. After placing the point in the desired location, the point shifts from the original location the user used. Below in an example of the click method: tcfMap.on("click", function(evt) {
var point = webMercatorUtils.webMercatorToGeographic(evt.mapPoint);
drawPointOnMap(tcfMap, point);
locator.locationToAddress(point, 100);
});
The drawPointOnMap we are using:
function drawPointOnMap(map, point) {
map.graphics.clear();
var symbol = new SimpleMarkerSymbol()
.setStyle("circle")
.setColor(new Color([255, 0, 0, 0.5]));
var graphic = new Graphic(point, symbol);
map.graphics.add(graphic);
}

Hi, When using your own ArcGIS Server services or ArcGIS Server services from the ArcGIS Data Appliance, you will not incur into any credit consumption. ArcGIS Online credits are only consumed when you use for fee ArcGIS Online services. Unless you configure Portal for ArcGIS to specifically hit ArcGIS Online services that consume credits, you will not see any credit consumption in your ArcGIS Online account driven from Portal. For details regarding pricing and licensing, please contact your account representative. Alternatively, you can ask questions through the 'request pricing information' link at: http://www.esri.com/about-esri/contact Thanks, Ismael Chivite Is this is also true if the World Geocoding Service is hosted using our ArcGIS Server services from the ArcGIS Data Appliance?

What are the general requirements if an organization wants to implement a GIS enterprise geocoding solution behind the firewall in a private cloud? ? ArcGIS for Desktop ?? to view spatial data, create, manipulate (edit) and manage GIS datasets, perform spatial analyses, create automated process (geoprocessing models), perform tasks (such as geocoding) ? ArcGIS for Server to create, manage, and publish any custom GIS web map, application, data, geocoding, and/or geoprocessing services. ? Portal for ArcGIS extension to have the same technology as ArcGIS Online, but it is deployed on-premises (behind the firewall in a private cloud) on the organization??s network or private cloud. (I believe this requires an ArcGIS Online Subscription account, right?) ? Data Appliances for ArcGIS - The appliance provides terabytes of worldwide basemaps and reference layers, along with geocoding and routing services on a preloaded, network-attached storage device that plugs into an organization??s internal network. The content layers and related services are the same as those available through ArcGIS Online. ? ArcGIS Online account plus additional credits (read 3rd bullet) ? ArcGIS Web Mapping APIs ?? Specifically, JavaScript, to customize web applications What does this mean? ? It??s important to note that in contrast to ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS requires the organization to administer and manage the services on their on-premises server.
