@MunroKevin Thanks for sharing your steps. This issue is actually resolved in ArcGIS Pro 3.0. Feature layer editing options were redesigned to match editing operations in ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Server. If you upgrade to the latest version, you'll see that there are separate Update and Delete options which will be honored when you overwrite the service. You can read more about this in Configure a web feature layer (see step 5).

Hi @MunroKevin, Are you sharing a web feature layer that references registered data or copies all data? If you are able to reproduce the issue, can you share your steps? Thanks, Jonah

Hi @MichaelMcBain, Thank you for your idea submission. There is an existing idea that might already cover your request: Allow aliases for Portal connections in Pro Can you please take a look at this to see if it's a duplicate? If so, we can close and merge this idea. Thanks, Jonah

@KamilNovák Thank you for your idea submission. Can you clarify a few things so that we can better understand your suggestion? Why is it important to be able to set a different sharing setting for the associated web feature layer? Is your current workflow to share the map image layer with the associated web feature layer and then change the sharing settings for the web feature layer in portal after publishing? It sounds like you have to repeat this step after overwriting as well? Thank you!

Hi @IsobelMcLees, You can use the Generate Map Server Cache Tiling Scheme geoprocessing tool to create a custom tiling scheme XML file. There are also additional tiling scheme files which can be imported from C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\Resources\TilingSchemes. Best, Jonah

Hello, After evaluating this idea, we have decided not to make any changes to the current behavior. To share related tables with the web layer, use the commands on the Share ribbon: Share tab > Share As group > Publish Web Layer. In the Share As Web Layer pane, under the Content tab, you'll see the tables that will be published. Users who don't want to include the related tables in the web layer can share the selected layer(s) only by right-clicking the individual layer in the Contents Pane > Share as web layer.

Hi @DavidGray1, Is it possible that you have other maps in your project that do not contain layers? On the Catalog pane and under the Project tab, under Maps – can you check to see if all your maps have at least one layer? Best, Jonah
