You can run them directly if you have geo-event processor extension? We'd kicked around the idea of getting that for some other workflows but couldn't quite justify the price tag. If it does run notebooks directly and in automation, it makes for a stronger case to purchase it.

Thanks. We've been running bats to call .py scripts for several years and it works ok. I was just wanting to migrate those python scripts to jupyter and develop new ones in jupyter because there are some nice advantages to doing it that way. So I'm looking for a way to run them directly using nbconvert or similar without exporting.

I'd be interested to know if the feature service editing functionality in Zeno Mobile will be similar to Collector? Will it support all geometry types? What about attachments? Related tables? Filters?

So we'll be able to edit hosted REST feature services from ArcGIS Server or AGO within Zeno Mobile? If that's the case, Collector wouldn't even be necessary. Very cool, if I'm reading that right.

We are in the same boat. What we have opted to use is the GG04 with a galaxy mini tablet (with an air card). Both Collector and BYOD Zeno Mobile run as expected. I have never had a problem with the GG04, period. It's a great smart antenna. I do hear really good things about the EOS and they have orthometric elevation capability for Collector which is huge if you need survey grade elevation. That said, I believe ESRI is working towards orthometric elevation natively within Collector. Snapping is also on the near horizon. The Zeno 20 works pretty well with the Zeno Mobile. The biggest problem about that is the 3G modem. I understand that Sprint may be the only carrier that continues to support 3G and they will until 2024. Use of a Mifi didn't work for us because the RTK dropped every 30 seconds or so making it dangerous for work where you have to be in and out of traffic in a hurry. We didn't use Sprint because they don't have good coverage in our county. I'm using the GG04 with the Galaxy mini tablet almost exclusively now. The Zeno is pretty much mothballed but can be used in a pinch in a limited capacity. The new proxy seems to be working better than before but basemap rendering is still slow. You can sideload the basemaps onto the device for better performance, I imagine. My current workflow is to use Zeno Mobile (I need orthometric height) then export to dropbox. Then I average my occupations on a point and import the data into the geodatabase using a python script that basically runs the Mean Center and Append tools. It is disappointing news that the proxy will eventually be obsolete. Maybe Leica can work towards implementing editing of map services in Zeno Mobile? It can already display some of them. Trying to maintain compatibility with ESRI is really tough. Compatibility is not at all ESRI's jam and their release cycle is aggressive.

Same problem here and its a big problem for my organization because we have many web app builder apps and they all have labels with halos and we use lots of ipads. Redoing labels on every layer in every map isn't a practical solution for us.

I had a script running for almost a year that logs in to AGO and overwrites a feature service but it hasn't worked for about a month now. I'm thinking that the failures coincide with the most recent Pro upgrade, but I'm not sure. It now fails with an ArcGIS Pro crash message even though Pro isn't actually running.

Update: We tried to get his going but couldn't because you can modify a wifi network to use a proxy but not the onboard modem. In other words, if you're lucky enough to have gotten the old school 3G modem registered with a carrier then there's no way to then configure the zeno to use the proxy. Catch 22.

Maybe Leica can whitelist the url for your rtk subscription on their proxy? I'm having my rtk connection on the zeno drop in and out every half minute or so but I'm running a mifi because no carrier will activate the zeno's 3g modem. I've asked Leica about returning the zeno. They just didn't an answer. I guess I'm supposed to take that as a "No". You can also try bypassing the proxy for your RTK service URL by adding it in the proxy network settings. That way, it should go through the default rather than the proxy. I had to do that for dropbox.com in order for it to work. See photo attached.

Leica's proxy is working pretty well so far but I'm running into one issue. I can no longer upload Zeno Mobile projects to dropbox so I have to drop them onto a thumb drive. I wonder if anyone else has run into this and found a solution. Update: I figured it out. There's a proxy bypass setting where you can bypass the proxy for specified sites. I added dropbox.com to the bypass and now it works.

Tried the Leica proxy solution but I still get the same Unable to login error from Collector. Has anyone gotten this working? If so, were there any tricks beyond what's in the document? I'm in the US where there are no 3G providers anymore so I'm running on Verizon via a Jetpack mifi. * Update: Got it working. Data enabled and data roaming have to be toggled on in the mobile network settings for it to work.

In the short term you could run another app like Next-GIS http://nextgis.com/nextgis-mobile/ but it'll take some setup. I tried Open Data Kit and that installed but didn't work for lack of having google services. It really seems like Leica should at least offer temporary Zeno Mobile licenses to those who have no working solution at all.(Update: Now they have offered temporary Zeno Mobile licenses. Good job, Jason Hooten)
