A few follow-up questions (apologies in advance since we're new to this): Are you able to install Sql Server on AWS --- if so, are we responsible for the install and upgrade of Sql Server? Is there a certain recommended tier family for AWS when running Enterprise vs. desktops? Is each component a separate instance on AWS, or are you running multiple desktops from one instance? What is the recommended approach for migrating data to the cloud? --- backup/restore, detach/attach, file geodatabase, something else...? How is active directory managed in AWS to allow users to use OS authentication? I'm assuming we're responsible for anything installed in AWS in terms of updating --- what are we NOT responsible for updating? Again, thanks for any response. Does Esri have any videos/docs detailing install/setup/config in the cloud?

We are starting to look at what it would take to move our entire GIS infrastructure to the cloud. This would include our enterprise geodatabases and Enterprise deployment. I'm not terribly concerned about the Enterprise deployment part of the move. The portion that I'm really interested to hear peoples thoughts/ideas/experiences on is the actual data migration/setup/configuration/performance. There are several logistical questions we have in order to fully understand what it would take on our end to provide our users with their familiar desktop setups if our enterprise databases were in the cloud. Is there a preferred/recommended cloud environment between Azure and AWS. Are there any glaring reasons to use one over the other? If our data is in the cloud, how would users make direct connections to the geodatabase for adding datasets to Pro? ... are you able to connect to a database via an IP address? ... do feature services become more important? If our data is in the cloud, are you able to use OS authentication to make a direct connection to the geodatabase or does it require a named user in the database? Is there a performance hit when connecting to a cloud geodatabase? Is it recommended to use remote/cloud desktops to connect to a cloud geodatabase to improve performance? I'm sure there are many things I've overlooked, we are mainly interested in getting our heads wrapped around the logistics of a move to the cloud. Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions are welcome!

@KevinMacLeodCAI --- there is no custom HTML section at all. We use Arcade for formatting various colors, and whether or not to display certain elements within our pop-ups. We even built custom charts within pop-ups using Arcade and HTML.

Please add full HTML support within the new map viewer pop-up configuration. We use a ton of HTML for our pop-ups in the map viewer classic in order to make our pop-ups more dynamic, and not having this ability in the new map viewer is really disappointing. I really like the ability to drag and drop and re-order pop-up items in the new map viewer, but not having the ability to have full HTML seems like a gaping hole when it is supported in the classic map viewer.

Was able to solve our issue based on the error message in the screenshot within the original post. In case anyone else has a similar issue, here's what I did: Log into Data Store machine Open Command Prompt Within command prompt, change the active directory to: ...ArcGIS Program Install...\DataStore\tools Ran the command: allowconnection *IP Address* *User Name* This added entries to the pg_hba.conf file, located at: ...Data Store Install...\arcgisdatastore\pgdata The managed relational data store now validates in both Portal and Server Manager.

Our relational data store is no longer validating, and I'm not exactly sure what might have caused it to stop validating. We have previously been able to create hosted feature layers, use them in web maps, etc... without issue. The Tile Cache data store is validating in Server Manager, which is on the same machine as the relational data store. The Data Store does not validate in either Server Manager nor in Portal when validating the Hosting Server. The error in the Portal logs is simply: Validation failed for hosting server. The error in Server Manager when validating is a couple messages: Exception in get user privileges Server Machine ".../arcgis/sharing/rest/community/self" returned an error: 'Invalid token.' The connection property set was missing a required property or the property value was unrecognized. Bad login user. I'm really not sure where to look and diagnose what went wrong. I have tried running the "updatelicense" batch file that comes with the Data Store install, with no avail. The only thing I can think of that may have changed in our Portal is that we demoted the initial admin account from an Admin to User, otherwise, I can't think of any configuration that would have changed. I dug into the data store logs and this is the entry that seems to repeat when validating through Portal: System Info: Version: Enterprise 10.9 Multiple Machine Deployment --- all components on a dedicated server

Below is a screenshot of the dev tools. This is another web map that has the same issue at 10.9. The layers above the green line are actual sub layers within the map service. I have no clue what the layers are below the green line, or where they came from. The elements below the green line all take on the name of the web map.

In 10.9, I've noticed that if I create Arcade expressions within a web map, the resulting web map item page has a ton of extraneous text shown in the "Layers" section of the web map. It doesn't seem to affect the web map itself, but is there any reason for this extra text? The extra text seems to take on whatever the web map item name is, in this case, 'test'. The screenshot below is an example.

Search for Layers doesn't work for referenced map image layers or image layers for us at 10.9. See the screenshots below. Using the same keywords in classic and beta, classic returns expected services, beta returns nothing. Beta Classic

We just added the Map Viewer Beta to our 10.9 Enterprise, and I've had the following issues, and am just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues: The "Search for Layers" tool doesn't work for anything, not even my own content The following properties remain grayed out for map image layers: Styles Filter Clustering Configure Pop-ups Configure Fields Labels I was kind of looking forward to trying it, but it seems pretty unusable at this point at 10.9.

Is there a way to query the background image that's being used by the new ArcGIS Enterprise home page in version 10.9? If I run a jQuery script that tries to retrieve the background-image CSS property for the div where the image is set, I get "undefined" as the return. Is there a better way of doing this?...something that is different with the way this home page is being loaded?

Is there a way to sort the features returned in a feature pop-up in Web AppBuilder Developer Edition, for example by a field value? Similarly, if there are overlapping features from more than one layer returned in a pop-up, is there a way to set which layer is displayed first in the pop-up?
