This is what I was able to find out from our Esri rep...our story map countdown app doesn't display because our base maps are not in Web Mercator projection; they are in our local state plane projection. If this is the case why the app won't work...and does seem to be because if we switch out base maps to a generic Esri one, it works...then will there be support for base maps in a projection other than Web Mercator? I don't really want to have to switch up our tiling scheme to conform to ArcGIS online/Bing/Google tiling scheme.

I am trying to implement the storymap countdown app (http://storymaps.arcgis.com/en/app-list/countdown/) but whenever I hit the URL on our web server, the app just spins and doesn't display anything. The config.js file seems pretty simple, so I'm not sure what's wrong. If I place the sample app you get from the download in the same folder on our web server, it works just fine. Attached is a screenshot of the config.js file. Any ideas what the issue is...? I am loading the content layer through a .csv file.

I have an Esri web app template that I've configured, but when I place it on our web server, I get the following error: 'Fatal error: failed to get portal configuration'. Does anyone happen to know what this means or how to fix it? If I place the app at the root wwwroot folder it works, but if i move it to a wwwroot sub-folder, it doesn't. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone tried using an external bluetooth GPS receiver with Collector? If so, how has it performed and what model/make is the receiver? We're looking to get sub-meter accuracy using Collector and am curious if anyone has had success doing this. Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty new to python and I'm wondering if it's easy to insert code to create a log file (.txt) of the geoprocessing? And I'm also wondering if it's possible to attach the .txt file in an email as part of the script? I could live without the email, but the log file is something I'm really curious about. Thanks Josh! I'm not talking about viewing the FlexViewer through a smartphone or tablet, just accessing the map services through the Esri app. For the server configuration, are there any type of bindings that need to be set?

I have the Web Adaptor installed. If I disconnect from our domain network, I'm unable to view our FlexViewer apps, they only are visible when on the network, otherwise I get a 'Page Not Found' displayed within the browser. I believe it's our server itself that isn't getting to the outside world and that's the part I'm struggling with...

We are running ArcGIS Server 10.1 on Windows 2008 R2 64bit OS. We have a NAT setup with a public IP address for our GIS server and I'm wondering what needs to be done to expose our services externally so that they can be consumed through a FlexViewer app or through a smartphone/tablet with the Esri app. I am not a web developer and don't have much experience on the server side in terms of configuration. Any ideas/suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
