If it is only a few values, you could overlay a rectangle text element on top of the cell you want to highlight. Make the rectangle extent the same size as the cell and symbolize the text as needed. For example, here is a table frame of some US state capitals with population values. Let's say I want to highlight values over 100,000 with bold red text. 1. Create a rectangle text element with the value I want to highlight. In my case I want to set a red color fill for the text symbol and to make it the same size as the text of the value in the table frame. 2. Position the text in the rectangle to match the position of the values in the table frame. Note: Vertical alignment does not currently work for layout rectangle text elements. 3. Give the text element a white background (to match the background in the table frame and also to cover any table frame text I don't want to show). 4. Place the text element over the desired text in the table frame. 5. Resize the text element as necessary to fit the cell. To make very fine adjustments - zoom in real close. You may also need to adjust the Y offset of the text to get better vertical alignment. 6. Once you have a rectangle text element properly sized you can copy this element, enter a new value (change the text symbol if needed) and overlay this new element where needed. 7. Once you have your table the way you like I would recommend group the table frame with the text element you create. That way, if you want to move your table you can move everything at once. Note: This will not work if you want to resize your table. This work-around will also not work if the table is dynamic (e.g. row change based what is visible in the map). Hope this helps, Tom

HI Greg, Currently, you cannot individually format cells within a Table Frame. In order to do something like this you would either need to construct the table by using graphics (for the borders, etc...), text elements for the labels, and Table Dynamic Text elements for the values. You could then format each text element as you see fit. Use the rectangle text element for the text. This way you can set a background if you want. It's labor intensive, but you should be able to get the customization you're looking for. For more info on dynamic text see - What is dynamic text?—Layouts | ArcGIS Desktop Hope this helps, Tom

Hi Samantha, We have addressed this issue and you should be able to freely navigate a map frame that is driving a Map Series in ArcGIS Pro like you can with Data Driven Pages in ArcMap. This will be available with version 2.5. Again, thanks for your feedback! Tom

Bob, Which view are you trying to add a picture to? Layout? Map? If it is to a Layout View why do you need to add the Graphics Group to the ribbon since it should already be there, if it was not manually removed through customization. If for some reason the Picture button, or the entire Graphics group, is missing from the Insert tab with an active layout this may be a bug and should be reported to Esri Support. They are better equipped to handle troubleshooting steps and gather bug data. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support. If you added the insert Picture to the Map View... this is not supported. To show pictures on the map (in geographic space) you will need to create a point feature class. Create point in the map location where you want the picture to appear and symbolize the point with picture marker symbol (see Marker symbol layers—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop). For more information on working with graphics (including pictures) in the Layout View please refer to Add and modify graphics and text—Layouts | ArcGIS Desktop . Thanks, Tom

Hi Bob, If I understand your issue correctly you are saying that you are trying to insert a picture element onto a layout and you do not see the Graphics group (circled in red below) in the Insert tab of the ribbon. Is this correct? Thanks, Tom

Hi Jill, Yes, there are many ways you can change the map extent for a map frame (on a layout page) provided there is not a constraint set on the map frame. Please refer to this help topic for information Work with a map on a layout—Layouts | ArcGIS Desktop. For more information on map frame constraints see Map frame constraints—Layouts | ArcGIS Desktop. You can also use Keyboard short cuts when the map frame is active - Keyboard shortcuts for working on the layout—Layouts | ArcGIS Desktop (see the note at the end of the help topic). Hope this helps, Tom

Yes. We would like to support table frame styles in a future release. In the meantime, you can copy a table frame that you formatted, paste this as a new table frame and point it to a different source table. Doing this should maintain many of the format settings you authored for the original table frame.

Samantha, Why not disable the map series while creating your index features? Is there a specific reason you need to have the map series enabled while you are editing your index layer? In a future release we hope to provide a Map Series option using bookmarks. This should make the "non-repetitive" workflow easier to manage. Tom

Hi Samantha, The inability to pan/zoom an activated map frame belonging to a layout with an enabled map series, like you can in ArcMap with Data Driven Pages is a bug. Hopefully, this is something we can address with the next release. However, if I understand the workflow outlined above correctly, you want to adjust map extent for the current map series index by panning the map. You could not do this with Data Driven Pages and, likewise, you cannot do this with a Map Series. Any panning done with an activated map frame would not be applied to the extent for the page. As soon as you left the page the extent would go back to what it was originally. The only exception to this is if your index feature are points. In ArcMap you could adjust the scale of the data frame and this new scale would be applied to the all the Data Driven Pages. ArcGIS Pro currently does not allow for this. I believe this is also a bug. There are options available in the Map Series tab (in the Layout Properties dialog) that provide a way to adjust the map extent based on a margin around each index feature, fix the map scale, or to apply a value for the map scale from a field in the index layer. These might be able to help you in the meantime. Hope this helps and thanks for the feedback! Tom

Hi Joanna, We currently do not have any plans on hooking up the Table Frame to display selected features/rows. Sounds like it would be a good candidate for the ideas site - https://community.esri.com/community/arcgis-ideas. We use this site to help prioritize enhancements. Thanks for the feedback! Tom

In most cases tick marks and labels for grid/graticules are drawn outside of the geographic bounds of the map (map frame). This is a major reason they are properties of a map frame and not features within the map. The 2 main uses cases that I'm aware of that would require the grid/graticule to be features within the map are: 1. You are publishing the map to a web service (and the map viewer does not support grids/graticules like Pro does) 2. You want to draw some features above the grid/graticule If you are not doing any of these you might find that Map Frame grids can support the result you want. For more information on grids and graticules please see Grids and graticules—Layouts | ArcGIS Desktop. Tom

Hi Johanna, Table Frames honor definition queries set on the layer/table. If your question is about displaying a selected subset of the table based on a query... we do not honor that. Tom
