I have a few questions for you: - Just for clarification on the issue you're running into, while in the field in a disconnected environment with offline maps, Collector crashes. When relaunching the app you're getting prompted for credentials and cannot access the offline maps. Is that correct? - I reviewed the case you had recently with technical support, where you mentioned that Collector (released version) is crashing for you on iOS 11. Can you please elaborate on how the app is crashing? Does it happen frequently? - Does this issue happen for you when relaunching the app only after it had crashed or can you also reproduce the issue if you were to close/relaunch the app manually in the same disconnected environment? - Are you working with ArcGIS Online/ArcGIS Enterprise? - Are you currently testing with Aurora and seeing this issue as well? Hi Everyone, As Russell previously commented above, labeling is now supported in the Collector-Aurora beta version that is available for testing right now. Currently the beta is only available for iOS, but Android and Windows will be coming as well. I would recommend to request access to testing the new Aurora beta version of Collector with your labeling by emailing collectorbeta@esri.com. You will also have access to our Early Adopter site where there is a forum that you can share your feedback as well. Hi Erik, Thanks for that test. Have you changed any of the display settings on the device, such as font size, etc.? Or is it all settings OOTB? If so, try resetting the Font size back to medium, which is the third tick mark on the slider from the left. That's the default font size setting. I ran into similar issue as you did with maps not loading and crashing when the font size was anything else. The screen zoom can also lead to other issues, but not as much as the font size can. Hi Erik, Thank you for that information. As a test, connect your tablet to a PC via USB and cut/paste that ArcGIS_Collector folder off the device. Then reboot the device > reinstall Collector. Does that make a different when trying to just launch the 'Try it' free maps? Are you using an SD card or just using the internal storage? Thanks -Kevin ... View more

Hi Erik, Sorry for the delay on this. We just received our new Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 tablet. Its running Android 7.0 natively and didn't require an upgrade. I installed Collector 17.0.4 and was able to launch the 'Try it' maps successfully without crashing. Therefore this issue isn't unique to this device in general, and therefore requires further investigation with your tablet. When you uninstall Collector and go to the My Files app under Internal Storage, do you still see any ArcGIS_Collector folders? Thanks -Kevin ... View more

Hi David, When working with Collector on a phone, upon selecting an existing feature in that map that contains coincident features, in order to see the popups for the underlying features, you just need to swipe the result to the left and scroll through them. This is a little easier on a tablet, since you're presented with a list to pick from, but due to the smaller UI on a phone, you need to swipe through the results. Let me know how that goes. Hello, What type of Android device are you running with version 4.3? I tested Collector 17.0.4 using a Samsung Galaxy S3, running 4.3, and it didn't crash when using the GNSS Capture map in the 'Try it' account. Hi Tim, Thank you for that information. I have reviewed your support case and have actually signed into your portal using our test credentials and have reproduced this issue. With regards to the original issue that Erik is running into, this issue seems to be different. The reason being is because Erik is experiencing the maps not loading at all and the basemaps not drawing. Also the free maps crash the app. Thus Collector cannot be ran successfully on the Tab S3. In this case, you're seeing layers not loading in the map, but the map still opens overall and doesn't just continue to hang on loading. Therefore I will treat your issue differently from Erik's. With regards to my testing of your maps, I am also using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A - running 7.0 - The loading of the layers seems intermittent, meaning that sometimes layers that didn't load when the map was last opened will load the next time its launched. I am still investigating this behavior. - After having opened the map, the app crashes when returning to the map gallery. Are you seeing this crash also? Although the behavior you're describing may point to the same underlying issue, I just want to make sure this is the same as what Erik is running into also: - Are you working with your own custom basemaps or using the ESRI basemaps? If both were tried, please explain the behavioral differences, if any. - Does Collector crash when simply trying to launch the free maps in the 'Try it' account? Such as the GNSS Capture map? - Are you also working with a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3? - What was the initial Android OS version of your S3? - What version did you upgrade it to? - Did this issue happen only after the tablet was upgraded to the new OS version?
