I have not seen this error before on exporting a shapefile from a hosted feature service. I would recommend posting this in the AGOL forums and someone could help you there on that. You could also try exporting this as a gdb through the data management analysis tool which can be ran in the web map and that will add a zipped gdb in your My Content. Russ ... View more

Do your maps have an editable feature service in them? The Collector will only show maps that are created by the account signed in with and maps shared to accounts through groups. It will not query the entire org/portal for maps. Russ ... View more

Which folder did you go to? You will see a folder with the username and inside that will have a subfolder with the  web map id that will match the one you see in the web map URL when you look at it in the browser and in that folder will be the .geodatabase file. Copy the web map folder on to your desktop and in the script enter the file location to the .geodatabase on your computer and have a .gdb ready to transfer it into. Russ ... View more
