In this release(10.2.7) you are correct. If your layers are versioned on a 10.2.2 server sync will work with the read only layers. In 10.3 release of server and the app you will be able to support the other variations of editing capabilities and editing with versioned data.

Currently you cannot expose a service coming from an on-prem service as a location tracking layer in AGOL. You can do this through Portal because you can access the rest page for your service items.

You could setup a script or do this manually and hit the REST endpoint for the service. So you could just go into the REST for the service, go into delete features and for the Where query you can put in something in like this CreationDate < '2014-11-17 08:00:00' and that should blow away all features before that date.

In this current release all layers in the map need to have full editing if its a feature service or support export if its a tiled map service if you want to take that map offline. You can also disable editing on a layer at the web map level and the app will honor that setting on the layer and not expose any of the editing capabilities once taken offline. In our upcoming release we will support different editing capabilities and export on hosted tiled services. Russ

Currently there is no way to copy attributes from one feature like a pole and bring it into an inspection. This is an enhancement we would like to make to the apps in a future release. Russ

iOS you can pull to refresh and then reload the map and that will grab any changes you made to the web map. On Android there is an overflow menu at the bottom and there is a refresh option and then you can reopen the map and it will grab the latest changes.

If you cannot submit a feature make sure there are any required fields that need to be filled and the feature has a valid geometry.

This tool to migrate data from the database on the device to a gdb will be in the 10.3 release of ArcMap. Cheers Russ

If its an ArcGIS Server feature service and you enable it during the publishing of the service or after in the ArcGIS Server Manager. Then when you add the layer to the map you will see an edit tool in the web map appear and then you just save the map. If you have the app open and signed into the app with the same account you saved the map with on iOS you pull to refresh and it will show the map and on Android the refresh option is in the overflow located on the bottom toolbar. This will re-load your map gallery and grab any new content. If you want other users to access the map you created you need to share it to a group and the users who are a part of the group will be able to access the map and the app.

We currently have a logged issue in for some Shibboleth enterprise logins failing in Collector iOS app. I can update the thread when I have more information on when we will have a fix ready. Russ

What error are you seeing with Shibboleth enterprise logins? We have one known issue with Shibboleth logins right now that ends up preventing the credentials being accepted and an error page is displayed. Russ
