So I would use the Editor tracking fields for the automatic timestamp for todays date. The Creator field would probably be the one you would use in your model. The timestamp gets recorded when ever a new feature is created and then the editor timestamp field will get updated whenever that record is updated so the creator field is always preserved. For the next inspection date you would enter in a default value for the field but that would be only one value set and you would have to manually go into JSON of the service or republish the service when you want that date changed. This field might be best left for manual input. Russ

Hey Ross, In this case I would use related tables to the known feature locations. Each time the field crew does their assessment they can tap on the feature, open the popup and choose the option to create a new record. The field crew can then go through and complete their assessment without overriding the previous inspection. To do this I would: Create a feature class containing all the known locations. Make sure to add the GlobalID field. Create a table that will be used to collect the inspections. Add a GUID field which will be used in the relationship class Create a relationship class and have it set to 1 to Many and use the GlobalID to GUID field. Then you can publish a feature service, enable editing and then bring it into your map and configure your popups. This lesson might help you out and marks out something very similar to what you are doing. Publish the inspection layer | Learn ArcGIS The rest of the lesson can be found here: Manage a Mobile Workforce | Learn ArcGIS Hope this helps. Russ

Hey Eric, I would set this up with a feature class with a relationship class to a table that is one to many. The feature class will be the box location with information about the box, the table will be annual report of attributes collected at the box. The relationship will be one to many so for one box you can have multiple reports associated with it so you can determine any trends. Also I would enable editor tracking on the table and be able to automatically collect date/time and creator information automatically when a new report is collected. Russ

Do you have a large amount of data that you are trying to sync back to the service? Are you using Hosted Feature Services from ArcGIS Online or are you using ArcGIS Server Feature Services? Can you capture the traffic using fiddler to see any error messages come back from the service? Here is a link to a post on how to configure this: https://community.esri.com/external-link.jspa?url=http%3A%2F%2Fblogs.esri.com%2Fesri%2Fsupportcenter%2F2011%2F12%2F06%2Fcon… Russ

In the Collector app if you were logged in before you made the map you can pull to refresh in the apps map gallery to pull down the latest maps and changes to your online maps. When you go to this feature layers detail page in ArcGIS Online make sure that editing is enabled on the service. You should see this down towards the details of the page. If it is not enabled, click edit and then you can pick the editing configuration for the feature layer. Then after you do that, resave the map now that the layer has the feature layer with editing and then pull to refresh in the app and it will show up. If you are creating the map in one account and viewing it in the app with another account, make sure you have the map shared through a group where both accounts are members of. Hope this helps. Russ

Hey Aida, The option to create share ownership groups is only exposed to org admins right now. http://docdev.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/share-maps/share-items.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_00626E637AF7465E88733B3E29C121DA Share items to group with capability to update items Administrators can create groups that allow members of the group to update items shared with that group. Updates to an item can include changes to the item details and updates to the content. When members share an item to such a group, they remain the owner of the item. Other group members can update the item. For example, they can add layers to a map and save the map with the updated content. Members of these groups can also edit hosted feature layers that have been shared to the group with full editing control even if the layer is not editable. For example, a public hosted feature layer that isn't editable can be shared to the group and members of the group would have full editing control of the layer. At this time, item update capability is intended for use with item details and the contents of maps and configurable apps. If you are a member of a group with this item update capability, the Share button in My Content has a drop-down arrow with two options: Access andAccess and update capabilities. Choose Access and update capabilities to share items to groups with the update capability. You only see your groups with this capability when you choose this option. Choose Access to share items with everyone (public), your organization, or groups without the item update capability.

After you save the map you can go into your map details, click edit and at the bottom of the page there is an option for you to configure Find Locations where you can create a query to search for your point names. Then just click save to keep the edits and when you open the map you can do searches against the name. Russ
