This is still an issue more than a year later. Seems like something simple to fix. Why is this not being resolved? Creates confusion for end users resulting in service calls.

Patiently waiting for editor widget in Experience Builder. I wish ESRI would publish information about design and ask for comment instead of just giving us what they think we want. The whole of the user community knows a lot more about what is needed than most of the developers and project managers - some being better than others.

I know the question has been asked but looking for any updates on how other have dealt with the need to auto calculate fields in WAB. Attribute rules come with a lot of limitations and are not plausible at this time (i.e., ArcMap not supported, branch versioning required which prohibits archiving, etc.). We use SQL Server so I can write a database trigger. I have done this before but I hate doing it for a host of reasons. I also use python scripts that run in batch for calculations that can be done periodically (e.g., nightly). However, my current need is for real time calculation upon feature edit. It amazes me that this is not provided by means of a calculate expression in the Smart Editor. Calling all smart colleagues! Can you help a brother out?

Thanks for the response Alix. Are there any plans to provide a more elegant solution for editing? The required tools are present in the API. They just have not been deployed in the available editing widgets. The smart editor would be much more useful if it incorporated the use of the featuretable to edit related records rather than the attributeinspector. More generally, I would consider the ability to edit as critical functionality that is far more important than many of the other widgets which are more special purpose in nature. What are your thoughts on this?

I would like to force the user to close the Smart Editor before they are allowed to do anything else. Using the Plateau theme a user can begin editing and the click on another feature without first closing the editor creating confusion for the user. The desired behavior is a little like locking map navigation

Has anyone been able to add hyperlink columns in the attribute table widget? If I add a custom field in the map, then the attribute table displays the URL string but does not interpret the string as a hyperlink.

Has anyone found a way to sort data in related tables when using the Smart Editor. The use of the attribute inspector imposes a severe limitation when using the editor as it provides no means of doing this that I have been able to find. More generally, has anyone attempted to replace the use of the attribute inspector to edit related records with the featuretable widget or dgrid?

Any method that can be used to select a feature. Click on it in the map, select it from the list, etc. The default method of distinguishing what is selected is by means of a highlight. I have found that this does not provide enough in terms of distinguishing the selection.

I would like to display a star icon in the map widget for the currently selected feature(s). Is there a way to do this?

Having the same issue here. Using Experience Builder and Survey123 in portal not AGIS Online. Does anyone have any further info on this and what is being done to resolve? Any work arounds? I will probably call survey with arguments.

I would like to use and external GPS with Web AppBuilder Smart Editor. I am aware that WAB relies on HTML5 Geolocation as opposed to native apps that do not. Bad Elf GPS receivers somehow automatically insert themselves to replace the on-board GPS on iPads. I need to know if there are any utilities that can be used to substitute another bluetooth GPS - in this case a Geneq SX Blue III Any other approaches? Thanks people.
